“Decent Brunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

We stopped for brunch at Northern Lights on our way back to the Cities. The brunch buffet consists mostly of bacon, eggs, and sausage, along with a couple Swedish specialties like fruit soup. I'm more a fan of omelets and waffles for brunch, so was a bit disappointed with the limited selection here. We sat outside, however & the view is amazing, so that somewhat made up for it. Quaint place -- might want to try out lunch or dinner instead of brunch.

“Decent food, but somewhat limited menu”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

The food is decent, but there aren't many options. Price seems fair for what you get. Unique atmosphere and great pictures throughout the restaurant that are available for purchase.

“Unique spot!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

You'll recognize this restaurant by the red English lorry parked outside. Elk, caribou, lingonberries, and lefse are on the menu. During a recent visit we enjoyed broiled torsk (cod) with creamed peas and new potatoes. Lefse (a Scandinavian soft flatbread) and wild rice soup were also tasty, The service was swift, and the gift shop unique among North Shore shops. Give the place a try. We think that you'll be glad you did.

“not the best food or service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

My mother and I had a Hunter's Pie. It was so peppery we couldn't finish it! But we did find the 5 pieces of elk to eat. Waitress seemed very cold. Not impressed and won't go back.

“No Service!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

We walked out after 20 minutes of no service. Wait staff was bussing tables rather then taking our order, even though no one was waiting and the place was only half full. Will never go back.
