This was the end of our holiday and three nights here was the perfect end to the trip. Rooms were a good size - if a little basic in design and features. We had a seaview room which was a bit of a walk from reception but worth the extra.
Of the three hotels Al Waha was the least expensive and it is a family part of the resort - so lots of kids round the pool area and especially at breakfast, take earplugs and a dose of patience! The breakfast was truly superb though.
The beach was excellent - we used to swim here before there were any buildings (26 years ago!) so it was interesting to see how it had been developed.
It is a long way out of Muscat - rent a car if you are intending to see a few sights and to give yourself a bit of freedom from the hotel restaurants. We tend to explore but if you are the beach chill types the hotel has lots to keep you happy. Cold towels and watermelon were brought out during the day and you get a cold box with iced water if you sit on the beach - very effective.
We used the gym - two floors and plenty of machines.More
