This restaurant has a great atmosphere and ambiance with all kinds of old railroad memorabilia. All their food is excellent, but they have received national recognition for their bugers which I can testafy are among the best I have ever had! They are located right next to railroad tracks (thus their name Sidetrack) making it real fun when a train goes by!

The food here is really quite good. The only problem is, it's so popular the noise levels are bad. It's no place to go if you want to sit and visit.

Friends from the area took me to this place in downtown Ypsilanti a couple weeks ago. It turned out to be an excellent choice for informal atmosphere yet excellent food. The menu was expansive with large portions and great taste. The list of beers was also a nice addition to this sprawling, packed place. It is a bit noisy...but with a packed tavern type atmosphere, what do you expect?

I am always impressed when such a popular place with such a broad menu also comes through with stellar service. That is a true art and challenge that the Sidetrack obviously has down pat.

Of particular mention that I liked was the home made onion rings (huge portion) and the fish and chips were great as well. My friends go to this place often and are not push overs to be impressed...so though I have only been once, I have to recommend it and look forward to returning next time I am in that part of Michigan.

This is an awesome local joint. Totally relaxed atmosphere - can be crowded but patrons are friendly, just pull up a chair if there is room. Pub menu, not much for health food nuts but that's not the point of this place. Worth a detour to visit, imho.
