just returned from a lovely stay at the marbella beach. we had a seaview room in the main building. the seaview rooms are well worth the extra money. The room was kept spotless. The food in the restaurants was amazing, the buffet restaurant had a huge choice, every possibile taste was catered for. the a la carte by the swimming pool made a lovely change, waiter service at a lunchtime was a lovely touch. Victor was the most helpful he even arranged a kebab takeout for us which wasnt on the menu. Stavros in the main restaurant was always extremely friendly and made us feel at home. We didnt have the best weather but the entertainment staff made a huge effort to keep everyone entertained. Will definately return.

Room Tip: sea view rooms worth the extra money

This hotel has a good location if all you want to do is relax by the pool or beach. Beach is lovely and clean and the water was still warm. We found the beach bar to be the best option for lunch as it was made to order and not a buffet. We did eat at the restaurant by the pool a couple of times and this was also good - apart from the mousakka which was dreadful. The choice for breakfast is good (hot and cold choices) but we found the dinner buffet choice very repetitive. You would end up with a random selection of hot and cold items on your plate! If you are on the AI deal then you can visit the italian restautant once in your stay. This was a la carte and the food was lovely. Choice of drinks was the best I have come across in an AI package and the house wine was reasonable. One slight downside was in the evening there was only one bar which got very crowded, and if you didn't want to watch the eveninig's entertainment you were a bit stuck. Also, you couldn't get a drink in the AI after 11.30 which ok most of the time but we arrived on the first evening after this and it would have been nice to be able to have a relaxing drink without having to pay for it.
We had a 'garden view' room which had no view at all apart from of the car park and tennis court - to the extent that there wasn't any point in sitting on the balcony. The room was a good size and well decorated. One thing to note that the toiletries were definitely not 5 star. There wasn't any hair conditioner supplied which is normally pretty standard. If I had known this I would have quite happily brought my own from home.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, overall our stay was fine for a week but any longer than that we would have been bored.

Room Tip: Don't choose a garden view room in the main building

Dear Nettlebed,
Thank you for your comments.
We appreciate the time you spent to share here your experience in Marbella Beach Hotel.
Of course we are disappointed with the general impression you took with you and we apologize if we could not meet your expectations. However we do make every effort possible to improve our guests experience and therefore the negative points must be brought to our attention as soon as possible, so that we immediate react to it. When that is not possible we can only remark and add it to our plans for improvement.
As said before the restructure of the bar is on our plans for next season together with some other things. The F&B outlets will be enriched with more choices.
Hope you give us the chance again in another visit to prove that two weeks can be even better than only one!

me and my partner went to this hotel last October, and had such a lovely experience we just had to come back this year, having raved on about the hotel to work colleagues, they coincidentally booked the same week.
our room was amazing, and as returning customers, we were upgraded to a deluxe room with breathtaking panoramic views! the room its self was beautiful but there was there was also a Jacuzzi on the decked area of the enormous balcony.we had Fruit, cakes, and a bottle of wine waiting for us in the room, along with a personalised letter welcoming us back1
the choice and quality of food was first class (being a vegetarian i am not usually too easily pleased with the lack of options)
the staff were helpful, and nothing was too much.
this hotel boasts its own beach, that you do not even have to cross a road to access!
there is also a restaurant situated on the beach where as ever the food is first class.
the only problem, is that i doubt we will ever go anywhere else now, as i suspect this hotel will be very difficult to match let alone beat!

Room Tip: all rooms are outstanding, but if you can get a sea view do! (especially the panoramic views)

We had a wonderful 5 night stay mid September. The scenery is stunning and the hotel is wonderful. Even though it is a big hotel and appears quite built up from the pictures it is cleverly built into the cliff so when you're walking around the hotel it seems quite small. The only time we noticed the amount of people in the hotel was in the main restaurant at breakfast and evening. We preferred to eat later and to be assured of a seat on the terrace so we had aperitifs on the lovely bar terrace and went to the restaurant about 08.30 so were always able to sit outside.

The main pools are lovely, my preference being the infinity pool looking out over the sea and there were always sun loungers available. But we are beach/sea lovers and spent most of our time down there. A pretty walk down to the beach always began with a coffee at the beach bar. The beach bar was our favourite - the food was fantastic and the service was out of this world - thank you Spiros, Spyros and Theodore, the best bar man ever (I'm sorry if I got his name wrong). The sea was incredible and we snorkelled and kayaked each day. Wonderful. The only negative was the road close by - no fault of the hotel at all - but the coast road around the island is inevitably noisy but wasn't bad enough to make us move!!

The restaurant by the pool was also wonderful - we only ate their once as we preferred the beach - but delicious and again, fantastic service, particularly the wonderful Sosipatos who we were lucky enough to see again when we ate at the Italian restaurant. Please give him a special thank you from us. What a great guy and so professional but so friendly at the same time, we felt like we'd known him forever.

Our room was lovely with a great view and really comfy bed - one of the best I have slept in for a long time. Great shower, would have preferred a door that you can shut properly for privacy but wasn't a big deal.

We are not ones for entertainment in a hotel but what was provided in the main bar was amazing. The 3 operatic singers were great as was the acoustic guitar player and singer who had an amazing voice and was a mixture between Adele and Norah Jones - perfect end to an evening.

The only negative point we would give the hotel, as have other reviews, is the main restaurant and the food there, but we are aware that the hotel is working on this for next year. It is huge and could be helped with different lighting to make it a bit more 'cosy'. Outside on the terrace they actually don't have enough lighting - a lovely fluorescent light for each table but not quite enough to see your food properly, we thought, although very romantic so you can't have everything I suppose. The service on the terrace was not great and we noticed they didn't even give some people lights so they couldn't see anything. The food was a little disappointing after the wonderful food in the beach and pool restaurants. The salad bar in particular was not great with some strange combinations. The Greek salad was always delicious though as you might expect.

Overall we had a really wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful and that just makes it for us when are on holiday.

Room Tip: In the main building if you want a sea view ask for a room 3rd floor and above.

This fabulous hotel is soooo relaxing. Our room was huge and very modern and always kept clean. Our bed was huge and one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The food in the main restaurant was very good with plenty of choices at each meal - the soups were especially delicious. The food at the pool restaurant and at the beach restaurant was excellent but I found the portions a little on the large side and so ended up sharing with my husband. Staff were really friendly, polite and helpful in all areas. Lots of steps up and down but they helped to walk off the meals we had eaten so really a positive thing for us. The only time we struggled to find somewhere to sit was when it turned cool and wet at the end of our holiday and areas were closed down. This caused a problem with seating and also with trying to order drinks. You could not get near the bar and if you found a seat over by the 'Saga' area you could only get infrequent service for drinks. Could really do with more staff on an evening. Apart from that I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to a return visit.

Room Tip: We paid extra for a sea view room and were put on floor 6 above the restaurant in the main building...

Dear jampersands
Thank you very much for your review.
We are sorry that the so positive feelings you got from our hotel would unfortunately be spoilt in some occasion, due to the high demand of indoors activities consequence of the weather conditions.
We apologize if the bar service caused annoyance, since we try to manage in the best way possible on any circumstances. We will keep it on our assessment.
However we are really glad the overall was a pleasant stay and that you are willing to return.
Please do not hesitate to contact us when your plans are set.

This is a well managed hotel with excellent friendly staff in a nice location. The rooms are well designed and equipped with flat screen tv, coffee maker air con and comfy beds etc, the sea view from the room and terrace was special and will stay with us through the winter months at home. We had five cloudy/wet and five sunny hot days and we managed to enjoy them all. There is a public bus stop outside the hotel and it takes about twenty minutes to Corfu Town where there are lots of sites and museums. The buffet restaurant was fine with a huge choice of dishes and even though the hotel seemed full we only waited once for a table and then just a few minutes. The a la carte restaurant for lunch and the Italian restaurant for dinner were excellent with very friendly staff. The house wine which is included is just ok and I did not enjoy the more expensive ones I bought. We did not try the cocktails as they looked to have a lot of alcohol in them. We were worried about noise when we saw our room was located above the main bar/entertainment area but this was not a problem once window was closed. This is the first all inclusive hotel we have stayed at and I was unsure how such a large hotel could offer a good quality service however I have to say it is as good as any five star holiday hotel on the Greek Islands that we have used. Thank you Marbella for a wonderful holiday

I agree with all the positive comments about the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, service amazing and hotel to a top standard. Unfortunety we had a very bad week of weather so didnt see much sun and had a lot of rain which did spoil the week a little. Id avoid the end of the season as would've liked to visit the seafood restaurant also.

Dear BFORMYNAME,

Thank you for your review.
It is really unfortunate that the weather changed completely during the week of your stay.
Certainly a good weather adds a lot to the holiday experience one can expect.
October is not always like that but it can happen.
We sure look forward to welcome you again at any time of your preference.
