I stayed with friends for almost a week all inclusive during the Easter holidays.
The all inclusive - it has nothing to do with the all inclusive in the Caribbeans or Turkey. It's pretty poor concerning drinks and cocktails, of course you might have local beer and local wine, different coffees and juices, some cocktails. But you have to pay for the Mohito. The food was fine - plenty of choice. I very much liked the beach restaurant for having lunch - great staff and very good food - wonderful salads! The terrace restaurant was overcrowded almost all the time and very noisy. There is also an Italian restaurant, which is not bad, but the food is more Greek as taste than Italian.
The hotel itself is not bad but it is just enormous - big buildings and annexes that predominate the gardens. But the view from the terrace restaurant is just splendid. Its a beautiful landscape!
The rooms are totally renovated, pretty luxurious but they continued smelling paint and reconstruction. The quality of one's stay may depend on the room's location as they are very different. I was in one in the annexes - 5-10 minutes walk in the hotel and waiting for lifts to go to the restaurant. The room was overlooking the street, the garden and little sea. And it was very noisy because of the street traffic. Some of my friends' room overlooked a wall and we asked for change but the reception staff was not helpful at all and refused to change the room even in their voucher was written that they should have annex room.
The staff in the restaurants, the beach and pool bar were very nice, not the case with the reception staff.
One of my friends had a bad experience with a waiter from the lobby bar. He asked for espresso (which is part of all inclusive) and the waiter told him that he will bring it to him. My friend said that he will wait because he wants to take it to the room, but the waiter said that it wont' be a problem to bring the coffee into him room. In the check out my friend was charged room service!!!

Dear DenitsaSofia,

Thank you for visiting us and for sharing your impressions here on trip advisor.

Easter in Corfu is a very nice period for holidays but indeed very busy, as there are many traditional events going on in Corfu. So although May is a nice and quiet period, Easter is a high season for the island.
Regarding the All Inclusive we must agree with you that it is not comparable to the ones provided at Caribbean hotels, bearing in mind that All Inclusive was first created in USA and it keeps a totally different profile of the All Inclusive offered in Europe, in choices and prices.
We are confident of our friendly and efficiently services in all departments and deeply regret to read only here that you were not satisfied by all, what really only leave us place for apologies about not having attended to your expectation in some occasions.

We have just returned from a weeks all-inclusive holiday at the Marbella Beach Hotel. There has been a lot of refurbishment done and the bedroom we stayed in was in the annex 3357 and brand new décor, very modern, kept immaculate every day. Our balcony was adjoining another room but nobody was using it whilst we were there, and although we could see the sea when we had a morning drink the sun never actually shone on it. Food in the buffet restaurant was varied, and most days had something for all, outside seating good at breakfast. The Pool restaurant was good at lunchtime but busy had to wait but not long. The beach restaurant was a lovely location for lunch time. A la carte Italian just okay but nice to be waited on. Entertainment singers, dancers etc., most nights. Staff all very helpful but bar service can take a long time. Downside there is nowhere to walk on the flat near the hotel although you can climb the hill behind it for lovely views. Shuttle bus runs to Corfu 10.00am most days.

Room Tip: High floors, annex is okay and quiet ask for sea view or you could end up with trees and buildings f...

Dear SuzanneRamsbottom

We appreciate you taking the time to picture your experience here at Marbella Beach Hotel.
With the renovation been complete any remark is very important in order to improve the details.
About the location this is a place in between villages as Benitses and Moraitika about 4 and 2 km away where one can enjoy night live and shopping.
Indeed the sun rises about 6.30 and it depends on the room location to see it, as per sunset it is behind the hill.
Also there are nice trails for walking that takes you to a very picturesque village just behind the hotel called Stroggyli.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcoming you again at Marbella Beach Hotel and to show you the expanded experiences one can get from the area.

My Partner and I stayed with friends in May for a week all inclusive. We asked if we could have a room in the main hotel after reading some reviews on this site... the hotel were very obliging and we were given a very nice suite.

The hotel has been refurbished and finished to a high standard and it was obvious the staff took great pride in keeping it clean and tidy.

The food for all inclusive buffet style dinning was very good and the choices wide and varied - we were there of just a week and never found it dull or repetitive. The drinks were generous and the wines surprisingly good. The bar became a little hectic in the evenings and the waiter/waitress service was close to being overwhelmed on occasions. An observation - more staff are needed as the season starts to pick up. The staff themselves were friendly and efficient, and always smiled and went out of their way to assist you.

The choice of lunch time dinning either the main dinning room, pool bar or on the beach was very good and again the quality of food excellent. There is plenty of space to chill out - though if you want avoid other peoples children the roof top sun area just away from the pools is best.

The hotel is situate on it's own so is not surrounded by other hotels - there is a small group of shops and a couple of local tavernas within walking distance of you want to get away from the hotel.

Car hire is not expensive - though navigating around the island is an interesting challenge. But don't be put off - well worth the effort.

Don't miss out on Corfu Town - a lovely place though can be a bit crowded when the cruise ships are in....well worth a day's visit...plenty to see and do.

Corfu is a lovely Island to visit and the Marbella Hotel a very good 4 star hotel to stay.

Room Tip: Try and get a room in the main hotel.

Marbella Beach is a lovely hotel set on a hillside with lovely views across the Ionian Sea towards the Greek main land. We stayed in room 2264 and were the first occupants following its complete refurbishment. Everything about the room was spot on including the sea view from the roomy balcony. The other 6 members of our party were accommodated in similar rooms adjacent to ours and were similarly pleased. The facilities at the hotel have been subject to a long term upgrade programme which must be nearing completion as there were no signs of or inconvenience from construction work during our stay. The pool areas are large and well kept with lots of sun beds and oh what great views. The hotels private beach and its smart and shady bar area are very welcoming / relaxing -the food is good as well. Can recommend the food in the main dining room. The choice was extensive and seemed to cater for most needs. The same can be said for the a la carte Italian restraunt where the attention to detail and service were note worthy. Above all else the staff made this wonderful week in the sun. They always had a smile on their face and seemed genuinely happy in their work and the quality of the service they provided. This said service in the main bar could be a little slow on occasions and for some reason delays could be experienced in securing a table in the main dining room between 7.30pm + 8.30pm? All in all this was a memorable holiday in a very good hotel that we would return to without hesitation.

Room Tip: Pro-mo rooms are in the Annex which is nearer the road that runs in front of the hotel. Whilst road...

Thank you for your review.
You have pictured Marbella Beach Hotel just right and we are glad that all was as per your satisfaction.
Just to clarify Promo rooms are the base economic rooms with no specified view or location, what certainly is not a big disadvantage since all rooms in entire hotel are renovated.
We look forward to welcoming you and your friends again in a near future.

My friend Jo and I (Dilys) have recently returned from a week in Marbella Beach Hotel. It was a delightful experience. I cannot fault this hotel on anything!! The food was excellent, the staff friendly and professional who were helpful and informative. The décor was fabulous kept to a very high standard. I have to mention Theodore and Kiki in the beach bar, they were amazing and even though extremely busy always a smile on their faces. I would also like to mention Spiros and Christina who seemed to be everywhere, so efficient and professional. I cannot name all of the staff (it would take a week LOL) but awesome staff, I just hope the directors/owners of this hotel know how lucky they are!! We have recommended this hotel to family and friends and shall definitely be returning.

Room Tip: Ask for main building and a sea view. Fantastic!!

I have just returned after a lovely week at the Marbella Beach Hotel and feel thoroughly relaxed and revived. I would like to start by saying what makes this hotel extra special is the staff, they are all WONDERFUL! Nothing was a problem and they would greet you everyday with a cheery smile and could not do enough for us. This was evident at all meals and all the bars during our stay. This really enhanced out trip.
There was a problem on arrival with the beds in our room and although not sorted satisfactorily, they best effort was made and we made do. There was also a problem with our door not locking and at one point we had five people trying to fix it and thought we may have to move, it was also sorted out.
We had a suite in one of the cluster buildings and actually had two balconies, which is a first! The views were amazing from our room. The room was very modern and clean and we had everything we needed. As there were three of the us the real bonus was the two showers and the two toilets, great.
The food served at all meals was superb and we didn't find that it was at all repetitive of boring, everyday there were new dishes to try. The rose went down a treat too! The all inclusive option
did include most drinks and meals, but you could pay extra for certain things which we noticed were priced quite high. We ate at the Italian which is included once during your stay and the meal was excellent, I strongly recommend the risotto to start.
The communal areas are kept absolutely immaculately and there always seemed to be a team of people cleaning and maintaing everything to a very high standard. There is a shop on site and you can get most things you have forgotten in there. We took the bus to Corfu old Town (e1.70 each way) and it picked us up at 10.00am right outside the front of the hotel.
We didn't have to fight at all for sun beds and had plenty to choose from most days, not until the last day when we noticed the hotel was busy and most of the sun-beds were covered by 9.00am. I would agree with a previous reviewer, and as it was the start of the season I feel we got the best from the Marbella Beach, I do feel it would be a different story during high season. We cannot wait to go back and hope to return in September, I would highly recommend this hotel, but just watch when you go!

Room Tip: Try to get a room in one of the cluster buildings.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week in the Marbella Beach Hotel.
The good:
A large & clean hotel, the pool areas are lovely and theres a great sun terrace by the pool thats a great sun trap. The views are amazing. The pool and beach resaurants are nice and offer a good selecion of meals. The staff were mostly pleasent and friendly. Our room was lovely, very clean and spacious. If you can get a table in the Italian for dinner its worth it, just book early to avoid dissapointment. WC's in reception are nice. Bar area's are nice.

Area's for improvement:
This hotel has a lack of comunication, a map of the hotel would be handy on arrival. You receive a complimentary bottle of water in your room on arrival, but this is as far as they go. For a 4/5* hotel this should be replenished every day, instead you had to sneak one out from lunch or dinner at the restaurant or buy your own from the shop. you cannot ask for a bottle at any other part of the day, they only serve cups.
The Main restaurant could be improved on. If your used to canteen style food then this is great, we are not and got bored very very quickly, sitting outside is much more pleasent than inside. The food was average. If you are all inclusive the drinks at the bar to choose from are limited. The communal area's in the Annex are in need of a design overhall. The bus timetable in the hotel reception is wrong, check the actual bus stop times instead.

Room Tip: Hire a Car for more than one day. if you do not leave the hotel you are missing out as the west of t...

Dear Laura,
Thank you for your comments here in Trip Advisor and to start with the "Lovely Hotel".
The hotel has just finished a huge renovation started on 2011, what does not mean that there are many details to be implemented for the complete guests satisfaction.
Indeed the entire hotel area is immense and although there are directions signs everywhere and a big board with the hotel map at reception, because of the different possibilities one has to move around, one can get confused. Thank you for your suggestions.
Regarding bottled water they are placed on arrival for your convenience. Mini bar is also available on request and it is filled daily.
The main restaurant is designed to sit about 400 pax in buffet style, so that is why we give other choices as separated sitting areas, a la carte at the pool and beach restaurants, as well as the Italian Restaurant.
Regarding choice of drinks for All Inclusive we have included aperitifs, spirits, liqueurs, classic cocktails, shooters, wines, beers, refreshments, coffee, tea & hot chocolate, what we do not believe is limited.
Bus timetable is given to us by the public bus company and it changes every time it is due to. We apologize if you had the information just before changes.
We appreciate you have pointed it out and will take in consideration any possible detail that might be possible to make every guest experience remarkable.
We sincerely look forward to seeing you again at Marbella Beach Hotel.
