I agree with the gushing last couple of reviews. This place made my stay in Indonesia so wonderful. AND the entire resort is superb value. The people are friendly; the décor is Indonesian stylish. This is the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful area of Yogyakarta. We used it as a weekend get away from Singapore. It is especially great as a getaway because you can let them take care of everything (transfers, food, excursions) and the price is still reasonable. I agree with the last couple of reviews that the facilities and grounds are gorgeous. We splurged and got the 2 suite villa with the private pool and it was worth it! I love this resort and gave it five stars but there are some things you want to know before coming: the resort is in a village which means there are roosters in the a.m. and calls to prayer several times a day. The resort is 20-30 minutes outside of town. It’s quite reasonable getting in to town (especially with Grab) and there’s not much of a downtown that you might want to visit. The food at the resort is excellent, local, and reasonably priced so you don’t much feel like driving into town. We ate at the resort twice and only went into town once for dinner. Town was fun, especially as an evening adventure on the middle night of our stay, but we just went to the restaurant and then back home. We didn’t do exhaustive research but it seems like the restaurant on premises was as nice as many in town (there may be exceptions) so we didn’t feel leaving the resort.

Room tip: Splurge and go for one for one of the suites

Our friend Ibu Rolande recommended we stay here for our 3 day visit to Yogya and I'm thrilled she did. The accommodations were lovely and clean, the bed luxurious and the grounds filled with history, beauty and charm. The restaurant served fresh and beautifully prepared foods and the staff was simply amazing. They were attentive, friendly and very helpful in providing all the information we needed to visit the temples of Borobudur and Prambanan. We also attended the Ramayana Ballet; all with the assistance of a driver the hotel arranged for us. The art gallery along with the furniture and beautifully designed batik clothing at Ba Pak Waricks salon were icing on the cake. You'll enjoy the stay and the visit.

Room tip: All rooms are villa style, so all rooms from what I could see were great.

Stayed in a chalet that was well furnished and superbly clean. The swimming pools and surroundings just helped to take you away from the daily hustle and bustle and soothe the inner soul. The staff are really warm and friendly and go out of their way to see to your needs. We really enjoyed our stay and want to return as soon as we can,

Room tip: The ear-plugs are useful to have a restful sleep

I'm sure I will be back! The hotel, the village, the food, the staff are just to good!
I was skeptical of what to do and visit in Yogya but making decision to book this hotel was a lucky choice.
You get to see the other sides of Yogya, more of the village life, greeneries, nature and its people.

This hotel is not everyone's cup of tea but trust me it's worth the adventure!

Room tip: don't miss the free afternoon tea!
