I spend only one night in this beautiful hotel. stayed in the Garden Suite which is actually separated from the main building and quite far from the front office. but its great to have a fully private villa with a private pool in the middle of tembi village. the room itself is not big, but it has a huge bed that enough for 3 person! it has a comfortable terrace with a set of coffee table and dining table, with a beautiful view to the garden and the pool. the pool is quite big, my baby loves to play in it. they provide us with 3 swimming goggles and some clean towels in the poolside chair. the best thing i had on this villa is the very helpful concierge. this youngman is very helpful. once, we asked him to bought us bakmi jowo mbah mo, a legendary traditional javanese noodle in bantul. when he came back he serve the noodle on the dining table with 2 glasses of fresh water. he is also offer us a help to wash our car. its amazing!

the only minus is the suite is quite far from the front office, I have to ask the staff the get me back to the suite or to front office. but then the management allow me to park my car in front of
the garden suite.

overall, it is such a great experience to stay at d'omah hotel yogya.

Room Tip: choose the garden suite and you will get a fully private villa with a big pool for your own, beautiful and spacious garden.

We recently spent eight nights at this gorgeous hotel. It appears to sit seamlessly into the very rural village of Tembi, just twenty minutes from central Yogyakarta. Luxurious, spacious and authentically rustic it was a delight to stay there. The staff were all attentive yet respectful and the food simple, inexpensive and delicious. The beds very comfortable with high quality bedding and amazing art in every corner. We will definitely return. Thank you. xxx

Room Tip: The green room was large and airy, with a great sized bathroom and small private terrace. I think any room here would be good.

d'Omah is a find! Nestled in the village of Tembi a short taxi drive from central Yogya, the hotel is luxurious and fascinating, rustic and delightful. Hidden swimming pools, quiet lounges, trees, a river and delightfully respectful and attentive staff made our stay here completely relaxing and glorious. The food is excellent and the surrounding countryside calm and rural. This place is a must on anyone's list of hotels. Yogyakarta itself is full of fascinating shops, local warungs and history. We will be back.

I wish my hotel was only half as nice as this one! An amazing composition of small paths, water ponds, small doors.... And pools. Increadible! Would come back any time when I am again in Java. A bit out of the way, but that is what makes it so special.

I had the pleasure of being the first guest in one of the two new rooms in d’Omah and what a wonderful experience it was. I had my own little terrace built over the small river that creeps through the property and is filled with ducks. It was bliss to sit there end of the day and enjoy a cocktail before a dinner of super barbequed duck in the hotel restaurant.

d’Omah is not for everyone. You have to be wanting an authentic Javanese experience, to be spoilt by charming attractive staff who make the occasional mistake to experience a relaxing massage in the spa and enjoy a stroll through the village in which it is located talking to the friendly inhabitants - or even a game of badminton with the local youths. If that’s what you like! Then it’s for you.

It’s not for those wanting the five star American hotel experience – I am passed wanting that anyway.

It was only 20 minutes from the centre of Yogya but felt like a thousand miles away from its noise and bustle.
