The silent sport lodge can best be described as beautiful. The grounds, the common areas, the bedrooms are all simply beautiful. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and extremely helpful in planning day excursions. The meals are tasty and filling. If you are into hiking, fishing, canoe/kayaking, or winter sports than the Silent Sport Lodge will not disappoint.

We wanted to stay in a log lodge and this turned out to be much more! John and Rhonda were terrific hosts, sharing their experiences of building the lodge and their tremendous knowledge of nature. They really enjoy having guests stay with them and you really feel a part of the experience. They invited us to join them at the outdoor fire in the evening and it was really interesting to get to know the other guests whose travels took them to the lodge. We would recommend this to anyone who visits the area. Great hosts. Thanks for a great stay!

we were welcomed into John and Rhonda's B and B like we were family. They have the most delightful, clean, hideaway in the small town of Wolverine Michigan. We spent 3 nights there. we went shopping with the hostess, we had a spa night with Rhonda's help to get us a massage therapist. Several had their hair cuts on that night or a massage. We cannot say enough about the delicious breakfast that we had each morning. The fruit was fresh and we had a different dish each day. we experienced home made maple syrup that John has collected over the last year. we went down to the river, short walk from the house. a couple of us were in the spa, refreshing.
if I was up in the fine state of Michigan again, I would not hesitate to make sure I stayed here again. I would love to make a trip in the winter and experience the dog sleds or the snow shoes.
I cannot say enough. Stay here for a fantastic experience.

John and Rhonda have a beautiful log home bed & breakfast. The setting in the woods is beautiful, the flower gardens and pond surrounding the log home add to the atmosphere, the breakfasts were delicious, the rooms were clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and roomy, the hosts were helpful and we had a very relaxing time. We took day trips to the Pigeon River State Forest, Mackinac City, Harbor Springs & Cross Village.

A lovely "log cabin" with the best hosts you could ever wish for. Gourmet breakfasts, a comically adorable dog, really friendly & helpful hosts. What a great time we had!

I never through I was a "B&B person" until I stayed at the Silent Sport Lodge. John and Rhonda are wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make our group of 8 feel comfortable in their home. We stayed here on our annual motorcycle trip to Northern Michigan, but we can't wait to come back and bring our golf clubs and skis. I agree that the breakfasts, their home and the grounds are beautiful. The location is within 30 minutes to many activities, including Mackinac, down hill skiing, golf courses, casinos, rivers, beaches and color tours.
