A friend had booked this hotel for our Traverse City girls weekend; we had 2 double bed rooms. The hotel decor was very nice but the fact that the casino allowed smoking made the entire hotel smell like a ashtray. Being a nonsmoker myself and allergic to smoke made this a horrible experience which left me with a sore throat and a friend with bloodshot itchy eyes. The pillows were not to my comfort level. A few things I also noticed in the hotel room: the grout on the bathroom floors/shower were stained and moldy, the carpet along the edges of the room haven't seen a vacumn cleaner in weeks/months/maybe in a year. The staff in the casino were low class. We joked that the prereq for employment must be to not have good overall hygiene, have greasy hair, and be fugly. I would never stay at this hotel again because of the smell of smoke. Only good thing was that I came out of the casino fifty dollars ahead.

Overall both the casino and the hotel are very clean, you will always see friendly staff members tidying up around you. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. Convenient shuttle service to downtown Traverse City available. The rooms were affordable and comfortable. My only 2 complaints are minor ones. The rooms were not accomadating for a woman to get ready, no lighting for the full length mirror and stand up shower with no seat or ledge for shaving. Also, the food at the deli was absolutely terrible, tasted like old microwaved food that sat under a heat lamp, could be much better and fresher for the price (don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting a gourmet meal just an edible one).

Room Tip: Next time I'd request a room with a patio even if it costs more. We like to relax outside on th...

The rooms at this casino/resort were very pleasing. Lots of pillows, really comfortable beds, everythingt clean and sparkly. My only criticism was the lack of plugs. I had to unplug the coffee pot to plug my pc in at the desk. We will definitely stay here again.

We were gifted a comp room by some relatives, and we were amazed at how beautiful this hotel (and our room) was, and how convenient the layout was to their restaurant, buffet, casino, and coffee bar. The entire property is tastefully decorated with Native American touches soft, soothing earth and jewel-toned colors, and interesting artifacts that make you want to learn more about the Ottawa and Chippewa tribes that operate this establishment. It's quiet, the staff is impeccably courteous, friendly, and helpful, and the atmosphere is one of peace and tranquility, even though it's attached to a fun, high-energy casino. Our room was incredibly lovely and sparkling clean, with thoughtful amenities like make-up remover pads, extra coffee pods, environmentally-friendly items, and plenty of outlets for recharging devices. The view - even though looking out at another part of the building - was very pretty, because of the abstract artistic design of the hotel. The pillow-top beds - with their luxurious down comforters - were cozy and comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom was like a work of art, with a glass-and-tiled shower that was out of 'Better Homes & Gardens'. We couldn't believe our good fortune to have been given such a beautiful room, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It caters to adults, and there is no pool, but this is often typical in hotels attached to casinos. One caveat - parking in the hotel lot becomes almost impossible to find during the evening hours, because casino patrons take up all of these spots, which are nearest the casino entrance. If you double-park outside, the front-desk staff will graciously take your keys and valet park your car for you at no charge (they offer regular valet services, as well).

Room Tip: There are balcony rooms and also smoking rooms

My wife and i have a cottage nearby so we do not stay in the rooms although i have heard they are spectacular. We have gambled there several times sometimes we pay there light bill, sometimes we get lucky!, We eat breakfast often at the Seasons restaurant on site. The service is very good, the breakfast buffet is excellent with an omelette station and fruit bar and everything else imaginable for breakfast, all fresh, homemade and very good. The price is very good, under $20 for two to enjoy breakast. We recommend to our family and freinds when they are in the area.

My wife and I stayed here for one night for a spur of the moment trip. The rooms were large, clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed here on a Sunday night and as we expected, they weren't very busy. The hotel seems to run on a skeleton staff Sunday through Thursday but the service was still good. Some of the bars were not open due to lack of customers, but I would still recommend Turtle Creek for nightlife when you consider other options in Traverse City. If it wasn't for the casino, we would have went to bed at 9pm after the long day of wine tasting.

We spent three nights at Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel. Coming from downstate it is very easy to access right off of M72 East. We were visiting family in Traverse City & it is just a short ride to 31 which takes you right into Traverse City with a beautiful ride right by Grand Travese Bay. Our room was spacious & very clean, although it would have been nice if there were two upholstered chairs to sit in as one of us always had to sit on the bed or the desk chair. The bathroom also lacks a fan! The casino, gift shop & restaurants are very nice. The staff is very friendly & courteous. This was our second visit to this hotel & we would definitely come back again!

Room Tip: "7th floor very quiet"
