I go in July when I have the best chance to see wild black bear, and I was not disappointed. I've made the one way 700 mile journey for the past 5 years. The staff is very friendly and allow me/us to linger and watch bears out the window. They have great stories to share about the bears that visit. The room was spacious. The hot tub was out of order. No AT&T cell phone service, but had great Wi-Fi. Where else can one stay and see bears, have access to a restaurant, bowling alley, small convenient store, get gas, play pool, and feel like family.
