Alright for a look but not that exciting. Lots of gems and crystals on display. No use for young children.

There are a lot of wet days near Fort William. Going to Treasures of the Earth will kill an hour or so. It's not unduly expensive (£4.99 for adults).

The exhibits are very interesting, very impressive and quite comprehensive. However they are displayed in a dark old building (factory?) in poorly lit displays. The information about each exhibit is very sparse - normally the mineral/stone name and location of origin. However, if you are expecting a well-curated exhibition, with a structure to the visit and lots of information about the earth's crust, mineral formation etc, you will be disappointed. This caters more to the "look, isn't that pretty and sparkly!" school of museum visitors.

There is a dinosaur display, with an indoor pond and fountain for some reason. If you're escaping the torrential rain outside, you can't even get away from the sound of running water . . .
There is a gift shop, selling rocks and crystals, with a wide range of stock covering from cheap to very expensive.

Nice idea and contents, spoilt for me by the dark building and displays and lack of more in-depth information about the subject.

short visit here total tourist trap but somewhere out of the rain; not good for elderly or disabled due to poor(atmospheric?) lighting. Rocks interesting enough but weak displays especially dinosaur stuff

The items on exhibition were quite stunning. Its hard to believe that they're all taken from the earth in the state they are exhibited in. Sometimes the sheer size alone is breath-taking. The actual place of this exhibition does not do credit to the items on display, in my opinion.
