“An excellent stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

We enjoyed our stay at the Quality Inn. The receptionist was most welcoming. The room was large and was very clean. The bedding was comfortable. Do check your bill. We were charged for the safe (which we did not use). However, as soon as I noticed this, I mentioned it to the desk cclerk and the ccharge was promplty removed without a hassle.

Room Tip: we would suggest a room on the main floor. We asked for this but none was available.

We decided to stay at this hotel when we came up north for my Fiance's Cousins Wedding, also I get a discount at Choice Hotels threw work. But we were greatly surprised when we arrived. The atmosphere is amazing we loved the location of the hotel the staff was very nice. We didn't get to swim in the pool so that was a bummer because it looked awesome, we loved the hang out area in the pool area as well and the pool table the guys had fun playing pool. We really enjoyed not having to exit the hotel to get to the gas station to get things like food and drinks. FYI the hotel has a walkway were you can go donw this little hallway and your in the gas station which has a subway inside so that's cool. We also ate breakfast at the Lumberjack resturant that was also connected to the hotel. The food and service was amazing and such a great experience we loved the decor in the resturant. The LumberJack resturant was also connected to the hotel so you didn't have to go outside to get to the resturant either. There was a large group of us staying at the hotel for the wedding and we have another wedding to come up north for next year and will deffently be staying here again. Can't wait maybe next time we will be able to use the pool and hot tub and also get a balcony room towards the pool.

Room Tip: We had four people in our room and had a double queen room it was plenty big enough. We really wante...

We were on the road and tired and questioned if we should stay here or not...
Were able to get a room but could smell cigaret smoke in the lobby, but it was attached to a bar/restaurant.

Get into the room, could smell the same thing in a non-smoking room... Decided to eat, was greatly surprised at the food choices and quality. No complaints here.

When we returned to the room, the AC on while we ate, it smelled like a stale bar.
Next people started smoking in the rooms around us. We asked for security but none was on duty. Consequently, I was sick for the next 4 days from this stinky place. Even my packed clothes reeked. NOT HAPPY even now.

Room Tip: If the lobby smells of smoke, probably the whole place will smell of smoke.

We have stayed here several times and have always had a good experience. This is an older hotel, but it is well cared for. The TV's have been upgraded to flat screens which is very nice. The beds are comfortable and seem to be replaced on a regular basis. The interior is a little kitcshy (it is done in a rustic northern style), but that is part of the appeal. The pool and hot tub are well card for also. Price wise, they are very competitive. The only real draw back is there is no breakfast bar. This is due to the fact that there is a restaurant attached to the hotel. They are also located within walking distance to a smaller outlet mall (Tanger Outlets).

Room Tip: If you are looking for quiet, ask for a room away from the pool.

This hotel stay was unplanned and worked out fantastic. While traveling from southern Ontario to northern Ontario through the States, we stopped to hit the outlet mall and wanted a place close by. The Quality Inn was right next door and very reasonably priced too. The room was quite large, the dining room graciously packed our food up for carry out and I even found some cute stocking stuffers in the lobby gift shop.

This is a decent place to get away to if you like the log cabin decor. They had clean spacious rooms, a good restaurant and a fairly quiet location. The staff could have been a bit more helpful and a bit more friendly but all in all it was a good (not GREAT) stay. I would stay again, how ever if some place new were to pop up not to far away I would go there...

Room Tip: Pool side 1 st floor is nice, you can walk right out to the pool

It's next to an outlet mall, I'm sure on weekends or if they've booked an event it's noisy, but on our night it was quiet and comfortable. We had just had a terrible experience at an Holiday Inn, Grand Island, MI and were tired from driving, ready for a good night. We got one. Room was clean, everything was good and worked. No, there's no "free" breakfast, but the restaurant wasn't a rip off and staff was nice in both hotel and restaurant.

Room Tip: Avoid pool side on busy weekends.
