“Happy to find such a nice place in a little town!”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

I have only good things to say about this place. It was our first time there. They were the first motel to have rooms along the US2 highway all the way from Duluth/Superior. We were so tired coming in very late and the folks were so accomodating. The hotel was really quiet for a Saturday night and except for the maid vacuuming the hallway early Sunday there was no noise. Free coffee and computers in the lobby. I was in heaven. We were traveling with kids and were not going in the Casino so can't comment on that part. The motel was clean, tidy, quiet and security was patrolling all night. What more can you ask for? A little courtyard to look at instead of the room across the way made the outdoors very pleasant to look at. Just wished we could have stayed longer and maybe checked out breakfast. The only negative I can think of is that the parking lot was full and we had to walk a ways with our luggage and there were no non smoking rooms left so we had to take a smoking one since we needed 2 queen beds. The hotel more than met my expectations and the price was really reasonable. Thank you Dancing Eagles!

Room Tip: The bqck end of the motel is a dead end so less traffic, and the indoor rooms look at the courtyard...

And that's about it. It's a typical rural casino hotel. My senior rate was about $70. The room was clean and basic. The only place there is WiFi is in the lobby, which is unusual for most hotels. You do get $10 in slot play when you check in plus another $5 slot play when you sign up for a players card. The slots you play are ones designated by the casino and I found them to be very tight. I would stay here again but will play the table games and avoid the slots. The food was typical casino fare. It's very close to the spectacular Bond Falls and worth a side trip to see them.

A previous reviewer stated that the room was very inexpensive. They do give you a senior rate, if you qualify, that was $63.71. The room we had was as far away from the front desk as was possible even though the hotel was not that full. Not sure why. The wifi can't reach the room because the doors are extra thick and the walls are concrete block. At least that is what the reception clerk told us. There are 2 computers in the lobby and you can get wifi there and on the second floor lobby as well. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. Lots of soap and shampoo. The food was nothing to write home about but there isn't anywhere else to eat on a Sunday evening.

Room Tip: They do have an indoor pool. It might be heated but not sure.

Property is very dated and the room was bare bones. Our room didn't have wi-fi and the lady at the front desk didn't bother to tell us that there are two computers for guests to use in the lobby.
The buffet was very limited and we did arrive late so we expected the food to be stale. Overall, the casino and hotel met our needs for the evening. Nothing fancy bit it worked.

The Native-American tribes in Wisconsin and Michigan know how to do hospitality right! Though attached to a casino, the gambling's optional, and the hotel is very good quality for very little money. I wished I still golfed because the course here is beautiful. The lobby (photo) is woodsy and cozy, the room was basic but clean and comfy. No "free" breakfast but the attached restaurant is cheap and very good. On the way "up north"? Give Dancing Eagles a try. And don't miss the bear and bobcat in the lobby.

Room Tip: Face the golf course for nature view.

booked a hotel room which was a good rate and then with the $10 promotion for the casino for each of us, was even a better deal. Rooms clean, lots of room for parking which is great if you are towing ATVs or snowmobiles, friendly/helpful staff. We have stayed here several times and never a problem. Location near the ATV and snowmobile trails.. Computer stations available near the hotel desk for use by guests - nice when you aren't packing your laptop. One word of caution: if you do the gas promotion - do NOT pay at the pump. You have to get the yellow receipt and pay inside - if you get one from outside, you are out of luck. NO promotion.

My husband and I stayed there on Labor day weekend and loved it. We had a golf package. The golf course was perfect for us. The course is beautiful, its not the most challenging ones that we have been on but it is the most pleasant one. The setting is so natural, they didn't cut down a lot of trees to put this course on the property. Since we had such a good time there,we went back again the 24th of September for our anniversary. We golfed and went to the casino. We didn't win while we there, but we had a great time. The second visit was as nice as the first. Maureen made all of our arrangments for us. We got money to play in the casino, coupons for food,or to use in the gift shop or to take off of our room bill. The gas station give you a receipt and you take that to the guest services and they give you $8.00 if you got 10 gallons of gas.
We will try to make this an annual trip . We ride bicycles and the trails in Nortthern Wisconsin are not far from here. What more could a middle aged couple ask for?? Golf,Casino and biking!!
