“Great Stay”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

we recently stayed at the Troy Drury Inn for our anniversary. It couldn't have been a better time. All the staff was very friendly and helpful....our room was nice and clean. We had such a good time we are planning a couple trips back...soon. You will not be sorry if you book here...free food and drinks are great too.... Nothing like that in Canada!!!!!

My wife and I stayed here on June 6th as part of a shopping trip to Great Lakes Crossing Outlets. We chose this property as a result of our previous experience with the Drury Inn property in Frankenmuth.

This property was not up to par with the other one in Frankenmuth, not even close. We had booked a King Bedroom, and well lets say the bed did not look King sized, as our feet hung off the end of the bed, and we are not tall people. The bedspread had stains on it as well as a nice burn hole. The mattress was hard and the pillows so soft your head was on the mattress, needless to say it was not a comfortable sleep.

The worst part was that the bathroom door did not close, and the bathroom had another major flaw. The sprinkler from the fire system met the bar in the shower which did not allow for the shower curtain to be pulled across, which resulted in water all over the floor.

Needless to say we did not stay a second night, even though the manager Joe begged us to stay on the house in a jacuzzi suite, it was not worth it. We opted to stay at the Hampton Inn at Great Lakes Crossing which was totally awesome and worth the extra money.

We will not be back to this property even though all the extras are tempting, they were not enough to make up for this experience.

Stayed two nights before my husband left for Afghanistan and received amazing customer service from ALL the staff. Every staff members we passed would speak, smile and offer assistance. Rooms were clean, beautiful and in pristine condition. Close enough to the highway for easy on and off, but far enough away that did not have road noise. I would recommend this property to everyone. Btw, they allow pets at no charge-so we were able to take our four-legged children along!

This is a very clean and well run hotel. There are many extras including a wonderful breakfast a "kick back" snack time (more like a meal) at 5:30 with alcoholic drinks and food included with your room. Long distance calling and free intranet is also included.
It is quieter during the week as it is mostly business travellers. Weekends see sports teams and lots of kids. We enjoy the week day stays. Great area for shopping and dinning!
Staff are wonderful and always willing to please!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in March. We were there for a shopping trip. The breakfast was very good. We found the rooms very noisy because there were lots of families staying for hockey and cheerleading tournaments. Unfortunately our room was in the midst of a lot of actvity so the room was not as quiet as we had hoped. That said, the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were often seen cleaning in the dining room area and they did a great job of keeping it spotless in spite of all the people there. Hotel is sort of in an industrial area but is close to the hwy and we shopped at both the Great Lakes Crossing (about 25 minutes away) and also went to Birch Run (about an hour away). Good value and very friendly staff.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am happy to hear you and your husband enjoyed your stay with us. I was excited to share your comments with the entire Drury team, especially with our housekeeping department who takes great pride in the cleanliness of the hotel. However, I am sorry to hear about the noise concerns you had with the hockey and cheerleading tournaments. We hope to see you again in the near future. Thank you once again.

This is a clean, friendly, and reasonable property that demonstrates the importance of the extras! The staff members are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is wonderful. The whole hotel is spotless. A great choice for visiting Somerset!
