“Family dinning”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2014

Decent prices for Korean food. Lower than most other Korean restaurants in Detroit.
Banchan(side dishes) are limited. Small portion and less diversity of banchan with your meal. Most contemporary Korean restaurants are shorting the banchan now days.

Food is decent. We ordered the BBQ meat with Dolsot Bibimbap. If you like crispy rice at the bottom, it will not be there.

So all in all, the Korean food options were great. Service was not great and the prices were fair.

“"Best Bim Bap ever"!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2014

Bought a Groupon to try a new Korean restaurant as the one near our home changed owners and in the process myst have changed cooks, wait staff and more. Anyway back to trying this small Korean /Sushi restaurant called TOMO located in a busy strip mall near on 16 mile near Dequindre rd. From the moment that we walked in we were greeted by a smiling friendly staff. The restaurant is very clean with contemporary looking decor. There are also tables with BBQ grills located near the back of this unique place. We ordered Bim Bap ....one with beef and one seafood. Miso soup was included along with about 8 small dishes of different "sides" like black beans, kimchee, mushroom salad to name a few. The wait staff was extremely helpful and attentive but not to the point of being overbearing.
I would recommend this cozy friendly Korean restaurant to anyone looking for a delectable dining experience!! We are definately going back sometime soon!!
