“Great spot located on a golf course with fresh and warm cookies!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

Love the the northern lodge type atmosphere located on a golf course in the heart of Troy. The outside patio is perfect for a summer business lunch. The fireplace inside is perfect for the colder months. They have a unique menu with highlights that include buffalo burgers, shepard's pie, elk, boar sausage, venison chili and duck tenders. The homemade buns for the burgers are great. The highlight of the meal though has to be the fresh, gooey and still warm chocolate cookies that they offer, many times for free!!!

“Best patio in Troy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2012 via mobile

Great patio, good food, staff knew the menu, I do not have a complaint. Manager walks around to each table, seemd like she knew quite a few customers. We got there about 530pm by the time we finished dinner there was a wait for the patio but inside was still available.

“Great decor...but it ends there”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012 via mobile

Ive been here several times over the years very moose lodge northern woods feel which especially around Christmas is very charming. We stopped last weekend for a late Sunday lunch. The Sunday special 'thanksgiving turkey' dinner. Was a poorly done turkey roll, overly herbed seasoned mashed potatoes and I didn't get past that. My husband ordered the taco salad and it was good and after I sent back the turkey I ordered that. But even that had massive sections of iceberg lettuce. It appears they need more attention to detail in the kitchen. Very nice cute young waitress was helpful, but clueless. The median age of the staff was about 19 and there were hoards of them clustered around. The mgr did come over but had never heard of a turkey roll and was only slightly less clueless than the waitress. I would come back for drinks and bar food ie skins, wings etc but don't venture further.

“Nice place to relax and enjoy a casual dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

Great view of the golf course, both summer and winter. In winter, they often have evening sleigh rides available, if there's enough snow. The menu is varied, with typical bar food and more traditional restaurant fare. Their complimentary fresh-baked, hot chocolate chip cookies are awesome. I almost always get the Michigan Cherry Salad ... it's perfect! There's a bar area with a pool table, if you'd like to try that. One problem I've had with some family, is the choice of decor. There's a unique Adirondack theme with 40 ft beamed ceilings and animal trophies all over the place ... everywhere. If that doesn't bother you, you should enjoy your visit.

“Spotty”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2012

We had been eating here regularly for six years and previously had experienced good service and food. However after calling ahead we would have a party of eleven we arrived to be told "you can wait until these people cash out and we can put the tables together". These people showed no inclination to leave. Nomally I would understand but the place was empty on a Sunday at 5:00. The hostess was surly to us about this fact offered no alternative so I elected to spend a couple of hundred dollars elsewhere. They have a severe staffing problem and should retrain their hostess with an attitude. Dissappointing.
