My husband & I were on a cross country snowmobiling trip from upper Wisconsin, into the Michigan UP, and back. We booked a room for one night at Two Rivers, thinking that it was close to Bruces Crossing. That was our mistake, it was actually about 15 miles east of Bruces Cross. We failed to look at the map before booking.
The room was only about $45/night. But as the title states, you get what you pay for. If you are just passing through & just want a place to sleep for little money, this place is perfect. The linens were clean & the water in the shower was hot. But the bathroom was tiny, the shower was the size of a phone booth. The floor obviously slanted, and the bed mattress was so bad that it caused us to roll to the center of the bed every time we rolled over. (It reminded me of the old I love Lucy re-run where Lucy, Ricky, Ethel & Fred take a vacation together & stay in a cabin with a similar bed. All that was missing was a freight train shaking the building every few minutes.)
The lady who ran the place was very nice.
So if you are looking for cheap & have little expectations, this place is perfect.
