This is a nice little lighthouse with great views and a very nice beach. It is at the end of Old Mission Peninsula, which is between Grand Traverse Bay and Little Traverse Bay. The drive out is quite beautiful with the vineyards and cherry orchards on the peninsula.

The Mission Point Lighthouse is a nice place to visit. The bottom floor is free to tour, and the top floor is only a few bucks. Friendly people working the gift shop made it a pleasant experience. Bathrooms could use some work.

Beautiful drive to very tip of Mission Peninsula. Lot's of places to eat, wineries to check out-great scenery. Unfortunately, we came a little early for cherry blossoms!

Very picturesque little lighthouse-can go down to shore. Free access/no charge. Also has very early cabin that was moved up-can see through windows how people would have set up their life-plague explains history. Trails around too. Have outdoor potties on premise. Short little walk up to lighthouse & cabin. Sorry pics of lighthouse didn't turn out. Lighthouse was much smaller than I expected but, quaint.

The drive to the lighthouse is lovely and the lighthouse has a gorgeous little beach and trails to walk through the pines. The smell of pines mixed with the sound of the waves makes it a relaxing spot. The lighthouse is very small, especially if the top floors are closed for maintenance as they were when we were there.
Glad we went

This was such a scenic place. And we visited at the perfect time of year to hear what seemed to be a thousand Sandhill cranes just off shore. Bring your binoculars to view them up close! Great place to have lunch on the beach or at the picnic tables provided in the area.
