It was chilly and overcast, but the view from here is awesome. We saw a rainbow peeking through on our way, and gorgeous sunset. Museum and lighthouse close at 5, so get here earlier if you want to go inside.

Not very impressive to go up in. Some interesting museum like features but very small and hot inside. Pretty beach outside.

We drove out to mission point Friday morning and it is a beautiful view of the Traverse Bay inlet. Definitely worth the drive.

Located all the way up in the peninsula. The museum is open from 10 am to 7pm. You can experience the lifestyle of the people who lived there.

There is a fee for the upstairs museum and to look out the light area, $4 for adults. We didn't do it as I have been in lighthouses before. This is in a pretty spot with some parking that is close for folks that maybe were using assistive devices or couldn't walk far. There was a sidewalk which was paved that could accomodate a wheelchair and you could have a pretty view of the lake. There is a historical cabin on site. There is a port-a-john type restroom. Take some extra time and walk down the beach a ways for some pretty views. It is a beautiful drive out to the lighthouse on mission peninsula.
