Description: The original Grand Traverse Pie Company location! Our first Pie Shop opened in July of 1996 by company founders, Mike and Denise Busley. The shop is conveniently located on West Front Street in Traverse City, Michigan, just a short walk from downtown and a block from West Grand Traverse Bay. Our open-air design has the kitchen in full view of our customers. There's comfortable seating for those who would like to sit and relax with a slice of pie and a cup of gourmet coffee. We also have great lunch selections, with quiches, soups, pot pie by the slice, salads, sandwiches, and wraps. We serve espresso, smoothies, and a variety of homemade baked goods.

Took kids here during a visit to area. The kids had pie and sandwiches. They are picky esters but enjoyed both. This place is good stop for a sweet tooth. Pies are excellent

We had breakfast here one morning and it was rather good. Somehow we both resisted ordering pie--they have good scones, biscuits, etc. and the espresso is good too. The general vibe is kind of "crunchy/homestyle" with lots of table space and a tolerance of lingering customers with lap tops, etc. We would certainly return, if for no other reason than to try the cherry or berry pies that are the trademark product of the place. GTPC is located on the east end of Front Street, the town's main drag.

Best pie ever! Sit outside and eat form an Anchor Hocking glass pie dish. I like strawberry rhubarb.

This place has the best and affordable breakfast sandwiches. Of course, their pies and pastries are scrumptious. Good service and yummy food.

I went to Grand Traverse Pie Company for a light dinner with a friend when I traveled through Traverse City. We both had the quiche Lorraine and tomato bisque soup. The food was very good. The quiche was a bit dry on the top, probably because it had been kept warm or was re-warmed, but the flavor was good. The tomato bisque was excellent! It was well-seasoned, a bit creamy, with big chunks of tomato.

The desserts were so tempting, we each bought one to go. I am a chocolate chip cookie lover, so that is what I bought. It was large, soft, and filled with chocolate chips. It was awesome!

The surroundings were quite pleasant. I appreciated the beautiful wood furniture. Everything looked very clean. The employees were all friendly. I would certainly recommend this for a light meal, a delicious dessert, or both!
