Description: The original Grand Traverse Pie Company location! Our first Pie Shop opened in July of 1996 by company founders, Mike and Denise Busley. The shop is conveniently located on West Front Street in Traverse City, Michigan, just a short walk from downtown and a block from West Grand Traverse Bay. Our open-air design has the kitchen in full view of our customers. There's comfortable seating for those who would like to sit and relax with a slice of pie and a cup of gourmet coffee. We also have great lunch selections, with quiches, soups, pot pie by the slice, salads, sandwiches, and wraps. We serve espresso, smoothies, and a variety of homemade baked goods.

“Breakfast, Lunch, or a lite dinner”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Choose either of the two downtown locations. Each has a different feel. Our favorite (piece of Pie) location is on the West end of Front Street. If we want a lite dinner before a movie (at the State Theater) we always hit the East Front Street shop. Primary offering is soups and sandwiches but the deserts are worth the stop alone. In the winter the cozy fireplace helps to warm you. In the summer the windows swing open to give you the feel of a sidewalk cafe. Good staff, good food, prices are right in line for Traverse City.

“Delicious pie, that's what they do”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Being gluten-free, this was not my first choice, but it was my husbands birthday, so we went for pie. It took a lot of deliberation because they have so many fabulous looking flavors, but he finally decided on something like Lakeshore Berry, which had a combo of berries with an oatmeal crumble on top. He wouldn't even speak to me to a few minutes...he just had to savor the pie!! And, I actually had ice cream on a gluten free apple muffin that was fluffy and moist, and quite delicious itself!

You can get sweet pies, or even savory (think chicken pie pot, etc) to go. But they have some comfy seating and a fireplace indoors. Join their pie club for a free slice!

“Solid Lunch”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Great place to meet folks for lunch. Good sandwiches, quiche and lighter fare. I'm a big fan of the BLT. Nice casual surrounding. And of course you can't beat the pie.

“Cinnamon rolls to die for”
Reviewed April 10, 2014 via mobile

My wife and 5 came in for pies (one as a gift) and fell for the most delicious warmed up cinnamon roll. What a great place to stop any time of the day.
