This restaurant has everything that I look for in dining - a view of West Bay, sailboats, and the Traverse City Skyline. The food is excellent - I prefer the Seafood Bisque as my go-to order.

Had a delicious meal, our wait was short since we visited on Halloween, the restaurant was not too busy. The service was gracious.

I was visiting the area with a group of friends and one suggested dinner at the Apache Trout Grill, as she raved about the great food. I called ahead but was told reservations were not accepted and the wait for a table was about an hour and half. We decided to go for it anyway, and after putting our name on the list were told the wait would be an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and half. Since there was no room at the bar, nowhere else to wait and freezing outside, we got in the car and came back about forty minutes later - only to find that our table had been given away. We were seated shortly after and three of us ordered the Vegetable Torte and two had the Prime Rib. We all agreed that after all the hype and hassle, both the food and service were mediocre at best.

Great food and selection... well worth the price and/or wait for a table. Wait staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. A must stop when in town.

We were surprised that this place was so busy! It was a Saturday night and we arrived at about 5:30. The wait was just over an hour. The shrimp and lobster bisque was good. I ordered the fried whitefish fillet which came encrusted in panko crumbs and a very tasty tartar sauce. Cole slaw was very bland. A side of macaroni and cheese was very rich and tasty. They had a few of the local wines on their list which was nice. Very nice view of the harbor. Friendly staff as well.
