This popular restaurant does take reservations so call ahead. Try the hot potato salad - you'll love it!

“Uppity Attitude!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We love T.C., but really...we're in Traverse City, not the Moulin Rouge...the staff had an attitude and the food took 40 minutes to come out...it was good, a little too salty, but pricey and the attitude brought the entire experience down two levels to mediocre, at best...might try it again on another day.

“Great place for lunch”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

This restaurant is one of the (surprising) few on the water in this wonderful town. The lunch we had was really great. We have gone here for dinner as well, but they have better and more choices for lunch. Great views and service.

“Good flavors but too much salt!”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We were seated promptly at a very nice table overlooking the water, and the service was prompt and pleasant. My husband was very happy with his meal, but I felt everything was way too salty (and I usually add salt to my food). The special, a large, tender pork chop, had an excellent flavor but was extremely salty, as were the vegetables and sauce that accompanied it. The shrimp and lobster bisque was also too salty for my taste, though again the flavor was outstanding. I wish the chefs would let the flavors stand on their own, since they really don't need the excess salt. Lastly, the parking lot is inadequate for the size of the restaurant.

“Mediocre”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Hadn't been here for years, thought we would give it try. Heard that they had a new menu. Went on a Saturday night. It wasn't busy when we arrived so no waiting for a table. Our waitress was prompt and efficent. My husband had to send back his cocktail, tonic was flat, no problem. I ordered the Walleye. Food came out fast. Walleye had great flavor, but it was filled with bones! Very hard to eat. I let the waitress know, her reply was "We don't fillet the fish here". They served corn on the cob for the vegtable. Cold, soggy, no flavor. Why would you serve a off season vegtable, you know it's not going to be good. Mashed potatoes, dry! Husband had prime rib, which was very good. Would probably not go back. Has a great view.
