this is the second trip to the lodge in Traverse City, MI and we all had a blast-the hotel was clean and comfortable and the kids all had a blast in the waterpark and the arcade. the staff was incredible-they took care of every need and always went the extra mile to be sure we were taken care of.....the lifeguards were also outstanding taking care of me as i went on the rides as i am slightly handicapped they made sure that i was able to go on the rides as i wanted. i am very impressed and look forward to another trip.

Great Wolf Lodge, Traverse City was very busy during the weekend in March when we visited, but we were able to do all that we wanted at this water park without much wait time. There was a mix-up at check in when another family was unpacking in the room we were assigned. When we called the front desk, the quickly fixed the mistake, gave us the room next door, and a free breakfast.

Thank you for choosing to post your review on your recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge- Traverse City. We always like to hear from our families. Promoting family togetherness is what our brand represents. Weekends at the lodge can be busy, but the main reason that there were not long wait times is because our waterpark facilities are reserved exclusively for our guests. I am glad to hear that your issue was resolved immediately and done to your satisfaction. We hope to welcome your family back for another visit. Very Sincerely,
Mike Lusky

GWL - Kansas City KANSAS
This was the worst hotel we EVER stayed at!!!!!! Room/suites extremely SMALL and EXPENSIVE, and not comfortable for sleeping at all. Sleeper sofa was miserable for sitting much less sleeping. Kids bunk beds didn't even have mattresses. They had very thin fake leather like couch cushions. Pretty bad when young kids complain of discomfort. They were also extremely small in size. More suitable for children 4 and younger. Our request were not accommodated for the elderly we had with us.
Waterpark was Packed, not enough life jackets for kids, no where near enough life guards eithers. Way overcrowed for it's size. Chlorine was way too strong, especially for kids. Both 11 and 5 year old werer red for days, and eyes irritated by all 5 in the park.
Water park snack bar out of food, hour+ long lines as only one person working the snack area.
Overpriced on restaraunt and snack bar items.
Lobby show sound system could use professional upgrade, as the lobby was really noisy and hard to understand the animals during their show.
They have access to internet, although not complimentary. If you use their business area, they charge .39 a minute for internet use.
Poor customer service when brought several issues up to management. Didn't seem too concerned with any of our issues. One offered to compensate us, but at checkout, all that changed. They just wanted to hurry up and send us on our way.
My opinion, stay at a Holiday Inn Express, (always awesome customer service and most comfortable beds) for a fourth of the price and enjoy a much better water park.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at Great Wolf Lodge- Kansas City, KS. I understand that you did not enjoy your visit and for that, I apologize. Our brand is focused on creating Family Traditions. We do have a variety of different suites that range from 500sq ft to 900sq ft. If you decide to stay again, I would suggest the Loft Fireplace Suite. It is one of my personal favorites.
In your recent posting, you also addressed the chlorine levels. Our water filtration systems have always met or exceeded all state and county standards. We maintain a safe water system and minimize guest reaction to chlorine by regularly introducing fresh water and using state-of-the-art ozone technology. This allows us to use the lowest amount of chlorine, while staying within the recommended local and state guidelines. We also continuously monitor our automated water quality systems and manually test them every two hours – far more than the twice a day required by state law.
If you are interested in discussing your recent stay with us, I invite you to contact Guest Services. We hope to welcome you back in the future.
Thank you,
Keith Moses

Overall stay/ location for (hotel+indoor waterpark) combo was "ok". However at ~$400/ night during spring break - I do Not reccommend. The place had been at fully capacity for over 2 full weeks when we arrived so the limited staff seemed exhausted. The lines were very long - to check in, at each good ride, at the bar, to play the magic scavenger hunt/ computerized game, etc ... Many families were goign out to get more available, better priced, beteter quality food at say chick filet and bring it back to their families...lots of pizza deliveries also. Rooms pretty nice, less the uncomfortable beds. Magic game pretty good for young kids - but it breaks down oftern. One lady wigged out when trying to help her son fight the dragon at the end. Fitness center was weak.
On the plus side, the overall build of the palce and waterpark construction looked very good. (I would recommend if less crowded and at ~ $200/night)

Had a great night at this hotel. Very expensive but was able to go due to a promotional rate through my husband's employer. Arrived before check in and they had a room available, also honored a request for a particular floor. The room/hotel/waterpark seemed clean. Traveled with kids age 5, 2 1/2, and 1. All three kids had fun and were entertained. Bedtime story was nice for the kids too. Checked out the next day but was able to still use the waterpark the whole day. Just kept a bag with us for change of clothes.
