The Good:
We enjoyed a two night stay here as a family. We traveled with our 2 1/2 year old and six month old. Our oldest loved the waterpark. There was plenty to do for her even though she wasn't able to ride on the bigger waterslides. The Critter Cafe restaurant had surprisingly good food and the breakfast buffet had much to choose from. We chose to stay in the largest suite available, as we wanted to have another isolated bedroom so that the kids could sleep comfortably. The room was clean, but needed some repairs. For example, the main wall had tons of dirt marks and smudges on it that could have easily been wiped away with a magic eraser. It didn't detract from the room overall.
The Bad:
It was a little noisy. I am a light sleeper so I brought my noisy box fan and still could hear kids tromping through the halls at all hours. The hotel does it's best to remind patrons of the "hibernation hours", but there is no substitute for good parenting I suppose. In addition, the kids doing the Maji quest really slowed down the elevators. They would often roam unsupervised from floor to floor for hours at a time. That being said, we knew it was a family hotel and weren't expecting complete quiet.
Overall:
We truly enjoyed our stay and might make it a yearly event. The surrounding area was so beautiful during the month of October. All of the employees we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. The kids had a great time.

We had a great stay at GWL in Traverse City. We stayed in a Kid Cabin Suite and it was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping took care of an accident my little boy had during nap time fairly efficiently. We went to the waterpark after nap and it took a couple of hours but was done nonetheless so we could get ready at suppertime to go out. The wait times were almost non-existent on the slides and the hot tub was never crowded. We got a great deal by booking in the spring for a summer long weekend. The Traverse City area is fantastic as well so we had other things to do during our stay rather than waterpark it the whole time. I highly recommend the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes if you go.

We just got back from a two-day stay here and we all THOROUGHLY enjoyed it! Staff was very friendly, helpful and overall efficient, hotel was very clean and a true pleasure to be apart of for a couple of days. Things weren't overly pricey for this type of family getaway at all...*Big Hint* here make sure to get a Paw Pass with your package here, it really does save some bucks for you! We'll be back eventually to this lodge, that's for sure! My wife, myself and my two boys 11 and 5 had a GREAT TIME!!!

Room Tip: I listed the location as poor because mapquest and our gps had us running all over Traverse city try...

Super nice staff, fun place, and large and comfy rooms.

We were on are way to Sleeping bear and decided to stop at the lodge for one night. The staff was really helpful and SUPER friendly.

I would go back for a little break.

Great Wolf Lodge is a great family oriented destination that can be used year round. The indoor water park caters to all age children and in the summer the outdoor heated pool and water play area are open as well. When being wet gets to be too much, the interactive Magicquest adventure game around the hotel is fun for school age children or you can always go to the arcade for some family fun. When your tired and hungry after doing all that, hit the Camp Critter Bar & Grill or get some pizza delivered right to the lobby, you don't even have to leave the hotel. It's a couple miles from the downtown Traverse city area and about 30-45 minutes drive from the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Overall a great family get away.

Room Tip: They asked us if we prefer 4th or 3rd flr. We chose 4th and we didn't hear any running on noise...

Very clean, friendly employees, wonderful atmosphere, and lots of activities. The kids loved it! My only complaint is I wish they listed costs of the activities outside of the waterpark - either on their website or in the packet of information given to you when you check in. And I really wish they would inform guests that the MagicQuest activity takes 4 - 8 hours to complete. And that the wands can be used throughout the resort to make things light up and move. Had we known this, that would have been our first stop and not one of our last. I did love that all rooms have refridgerators and microwaves to help save on going out to eat so much. All in all, it was a fantastic time and we are trying to figure out when we can come back. We will be staying 2 nights next time!

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor (which is one floor down from main lobby). This floor is where the wat...
