Did not use the campground but enjoyed the beach park. Clean bathrooms with changing rooms, outdoor shower. SUP and Kayak rentals $. Ample parking and lots of sandy beach, play area/toys for the kids and lots of pick-nick tables, some with shade. Free parking during the week.

It was our first time camping here. Mid-week so not too crowded. We checked out on Friday and the campground was filling up. Nice campsite in the east section of the campground. Spacious site. Close to everything in the Traverse area. Exceptionally nice and helpful staff.

We did not stay here but we used the beach across the street from the campground. It was a nice beach with friendly people.

Went to the beach here on a weekday. It's July so it's pretty slammed. I'm thinking it'd be best to go as early as you can to secure a good spot. For us the only option was a picnic table on the grass, which was fine since it was a spontaneous outing and our baby is too young to care. The area was very clean and it looks like the kids in the area were having a blast on the nautical themed play equipment. There is definitely a ton of traffic all along the shoreline here. You are separated by the parking lot which is nice but since the lot is very slender there are many cars moving throughout the parking lot as well. Water was very clean and clear! We are curious about checking out the rest of the park but we will save it for the off season when it is not so busy.

There’s a sign posted that new bathrooms are coming. It’s a nice park, close to the water. The hwy there is extremely busy, don’t try to go left after 3. Like that they have guys helping at the dump. Park is nice and clean and shaded.
