Gorgeous beach!!!! The campground was really nice. Well keep, clean bathrooms.. They had lots of activities for the kids..arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, ect...I prefer to stay away from sites 58-100 because they are too close to the road and there is too much traffic noises and the hotels across the street provide to much light at night. I have no other objections then that with this park. There is a Airport and train tracks close by but the noise is minimal in my option. One of my faviorite Michigan state parks...

Wonderful campground! Loved all the tall pines! We stayed for 3 nights in a travel trailer. Site 128. Some other reviews complain about the airport noise, but for a few seconds a couple times an hour, it wasn't bothersome to us. The beach is beautiful. We caught the tail end of the Cherry Festival, so it was insanely busy, but still had room to lay down a towel and enjoy. As others mentioned, the quieter end of the campground is the furthest away from US31. We would stay here again.

Over the fourth of July we went to the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City and had a wonderful time. There was an area where we were able to get to the beach without being overwhelmed by all the people here at the park. Parking was only three dollars and there was a little park and complete beach access with vending. Great view and swimming. It's right off the main street on the shore.

We enjoyed the beach. A little loud from traffic on US31, but we still managed to soak up some sun! The water was a bit chilly, but we braved it!

This was a wonderful campground. From our campsite we could view the Bay. With a short walk over a pedestrian bridge we were able to reach a beautiful stretch of beach. The campground itself was pleasant. Staff and hosts were friendly and helpful. A bike trail was accessible from the back of the campground and could be used to reach nearby businesses. While I had read reviews indicating traffic noise was a concern, we were not bothered by noise. The campground host did suggest the sites toward the back of the campground were quieter.
