Owner description: 2 Lads Winery is a small production facility located on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City, Michigan. We currently have 23 acres of established vineyards. We specialize in cool climate dry red and sparkling wines and have small runs of white wines to round out the lot. Sustainably farming our land is paramount to the health of our soil, vines and grapes at 2 Lads Winery. Come taste the difference.

This a wonderful place for a tasting, but wish they'd build a patio outside their tasting room for a nice place to sit and enjoy your wine.

This was our first stop on our wine tour and probably our worst. The wine was good but pricey. The view was amazing but we felt rushed with our tasting. We would not stop at this winery again.

While visiting our son who lives in Traverse City, we took a trip up the Old Mission Peninsula and stopped here on his recommendation. There is a $5 charge for wine tasing unless you buy a bottle. The scenery here is gorgeous. A beautiful hilltop view of the lake and surrounding area, and beautiful vineyards. The wines were average, nothing to get too excited about. We decided to purchase a bottle of wine to help 'mitigate' our tasting fee and it only applied to ONE tasting fee, not all 4 of them. Still, was worth the stop for the view. Would probably give a 3.5 if I could because of the average wines and the tasing fee 'issue'.

After reading all the great reviews my husband and I were eager to check out 2 Lads. I really wanted to love this place, unfortunately theirs wines were not up to par. Their wines were so subtle they truly did not hone any dimension nor body. Flat! Nothing memorable to note on any of their wines.

Their service was consistent with their wines, flat, nothing worth mentioning.

*NOTE
To be sincere and fair we are bold full body red wine lovers...if you too enjoy big reds as we do their is GREAT red wines @ Bry's Estate Vineyard, Black Star Farms & Bowers Harbor Vineyards.

Verdict:
Below average wines, sterile atmosphere, de-energized bar staff. Our least favorite winery thus far, a bit on the green side.

Positive note:
Their apparel is esthetically appealing :) great t-shirts & hoodies.
