On a recent visit to the Old Mission Peninsula, we visited four wineries. My favorite was Bowers Harbor. The tasting was fun, and the view from the patio is fantastic. You can buy a glass of wine for reasonable $5 and sit and enjoy the view! They had some clever labels done for football tailgating season for Michigan and Michigan State. Just the most fun of the four vineyards we visited!

My boyfriend and I visited Traverse City this past weekend. This was his first time to Traverse City and both of our fisr times visiting the Vineyards. First, let me say there are so many great vineyards in the area, and so many that are great for different reasons but overall this was our absolute favorite! It is smaller in comparison to some others, but the atomosphere far exceeded the larger vineyards. It is family owned and that comes across in the way they treat the indviduals that visit. One employee in particular, Connie, took the time to give us a vineyard tour, gave us the history and a lesson in wine making. Follwing our tour she set up a wine tasting and snacks on their patio overlooking the vineyard itself. The wine was very good, and so was their apple and peach cider (like beer but tastes 20 times better, great for non wine drinkers). The best part, being an animal lover, is their Vineyard Dog Brix. Several of their wines are named after their beloved dogs. My boyfriend and I are already planning out next trip back, we fell in love with this place and looking forward to many more visits. Thank you Connie and staff!

We stopped here because the reviews were so great. Unfortunately we picked a very bust Saturday in the late afternoon. Even though we did one quick tasting and didn't stay long, the staff was very friendly and they made great recommendations. I would visit again but try to pick a less busy time. Beautiful location!

We have visited the winery sever times and have always come away with fond memories. Wonderful and very knowledgable staff. A great place to have a tasting or to have some wine and a bottle of their wine. This is always a must stop when we visit the Mission.

Still my customers favorite winery on Old Mission. Kristy and Justin rock. This staff is the best on Old Mission and they work like a fine oiled machine. Always friendly, great wine and it doesn't matter if there are 2 people there or 100 they take care of their guests and it shows! This is a must stop on Old Mission...skip the ones on the hill...
