Very reasonably priced tasting ($2 for 5 wines). No strict pour measurments (like Chateau Chantel) and our bartender was quite friendly... offering up recommendations for restaurants in town. Most importantly, the wine was good!

In an area where we have 40 wineries within a 45 minute drive, this one stands out...it is quaint with a modern appeal, and the staff are pleasant. Great tasting options, a resident dog, and their wines are excellent, and some of the most reasonably priced in the area.

The woman who presented the wine to us was great! She was very kind! The wine was good, but the best part of the whole trip is the adorable dog who greets you when you walk in and takes you to the place to taste the wine. They also have multiple wines named after their dogs!

My sister and I went and they were under construction to make more room for wine tasting. Brix their dog, Bernese mountain dog, is so friendly. The gentleman who did our wine tasting was humorous and knowledge about all their wines. He picked out both wines for my sister and I to try that we both liked based on how we liked or disliked ones who tried earlier. I like that they name some of their wines after dogs. It's a cute family place. I will definitely go back and visit after the construction is done to see the new tasting room.

Bowers Harbor remains one of the must-stop places on the Michigan wine trail. The staff is always great, especially Kristy. She is extremely knowledgable and friendly and always willing to take the time to go through all of their selections. They have some really great wines, especially their Pinot Grigio and Brix sparkling wine along with many others. Even better, prices are pretty reasonable. BHV is definitely worth making the trip.
