Were on our way to Sleeping Bear Dunes and stopped here on impulse. We will definitely stop next time we're in the area. Bought some delicious cherries, homemade bread, and a couple yummy doughnuts (wish I'd bought just a few more to take home, lol). Prices were not bad either. We'll be back! :)

We stopped by Gallaghers Farm Market on our way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We were dissapointed to learn thst the cherries are not harvested until early July, However, they did have pies, etc. for sell. We bought a a cherry pie that was excellent!! The sweet black cherries were huge!!! I can honestly say that I've only had one other cherry pie that was slightly better. I had that wonderful pie in Spokane, Washington. However, if I had been at Gallaghers when they were harvesting this season's crop I may have eaten the best cherry pie ever.

We stopped to pick up some cherries and stumbled upon saskatoons! They have samples out so that you can try before you buy. They also offer cherries in a 20 lb box for $55, pick your own cherries, as well as Michigan made products like cherry salsa. A very nice farmer's market with the ever popular black Michigan cherries!

We were on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes and found this little jewel about 4 miles up Hwy 72 from Traverse City. They had 4 different sizes of fresh picked local cherries. The smallest 2 sizes were pre- washed, so we could eat them as we traveled and on the beach!

Great assortment of cherry butter, jam, and relishes (and tasting bar). As well as local wines, cheeses, and lots of fresh baked varieties if bread.

Active farm where our 3 year old could see chickens, pigs, lambs, and more. Even a toy farm, that we couldn't tear her away from. Great photo ops as well.

Way more than a produce stand! Friendly informative employees. Appeared to be family owned and run. if you want a taste of what Traverse City is known for, this is the stop.

Stopped at this farm market to pick cherries which was a great family fun time. The grandkids were so excited about picking cherries. They could reach the low branches and the adults the higher ones. We left with about 18 lbs of cherries for the folks at home. The market also sells fruits, vegetables. candies and pastries. Worth a stop.
