This is a local restaurant favorite complimented by an interesting art gallery. Yes, it's a 14 mile drive from downtown but what a beautiful drive out the Old Mission Peninsula. Chicken artichoke, the fish, lamb, and liver w/onions are favorites of ours. An, for a sandwich, the burgers and wallyeye sandwiches are the best. And, if you are lucky enough to be there in the winter, you will love the warmth of the free standing fireplace. You will not be disappointed and, trust me, it is a place you will go back to. Enjoy.

We stopped in because OMT is listed on a Top 10 Best Restaurant list. I have no clue how they got on the list. The white fish appetizer was cream cheese--could not taste whitefish. The artichoke appetizer had a few pieces of artichoke mixed in the same base as the white fish appetizer. At least you could taste those few pieces. Both were basically like spreading plain cream cheese. The white fish entree was mediocre at best with a marginal sauce to cover up the poor prep of the fish. The Shrimp Alfredo tasted like the sauce from a jar. The mushroom pasta was marginal and the crab legs were over salted. We paid the same amount for an excellent meal at Apache Trout Grill (with an great view) and the same amount for a meal at the beyond amazing Trattoria Stella. It is worth the 15 minute drive to go elsewhere!

This place was a bit surprising walking into but the art gallery and restaurant were very interesting. The food was great and staff was very friendly. Great place worth the stop.

We were driving up to Mission Point with no restaurant in mind. This place appeared to pop up out of nowhere, but we noticed some locals going in so we decided to give it a try. To start, the gallery was delightful. We were there for lunch and seated immediately. Ice water was immediately served along with drink request. We all ordered ice tea and were delighted to find it was real sun tea!! When we asked the waitress if the soup was gluten free she immediately asked the chef. The food, including the soup, was truly homemade and the soup was gluten free!! Bottom line: service, food, ambience and staff all outstanding. Best meal we had in Traverse City!!

We had prime rib, lamb chops this time that we both liked. Fresh green beans with almonds were especially good. An extra bonus is getting to walk through the attached art gallery after dinner.
