We live in Traverse City and OMT has always been one of our dependable "go-to" places for a celebration and fabulous meal. I LOVE their crab cake dinner and they are also known for their prime rib. Love the art gallery atmosphere with white tablecloths, fresh flowers and friendly staff. Definitely not "stuffy", yet a cut above most taverns, Allow time to linger by the woodstove and to browse the art.

The food here is great, the service is good, and the atmosphere of the place is friendly. The only issue is that it's a little pricey, but I would expect that with good quality food.

After seeing place from outside wasn't quite sure what to expect. Was I surprised a diamond in rough for sure! Excellent food and staff. A must place to dine if your visiting old mission area. Cloth tablecloths and fresh flowers a must when looking for place to eat. No dissapointments here.

We stopped for a beer on our way back from the light house. It's a small restuarant with a small bar. It has a great deal of charm with the paintings and windows. I'd go back at any time.

After visiting winecellars in the Old Mission Peninsula, near Traverse City, we reached the end of the road stopping at the lighthouse with its small exhibition. It became rather late for lunch, but we sighted a nice looking old fashioned place on the side of the road, Old Mission Tavern & Bella Galleria. We were lucky, as the kitchen was still open and we got served a very good and hearty meal, which we enjoyed thoroughly. After lunch we visited the art gallery, where according to their explanation up to 75 fine local and international artists exhibit their works. This excursion, including wine tasting on the road, and finishing with a good meal in beautiful sorroundings is absolutely recommendable.
