Owner description: Old state asylum that is being renovated into shops, restaurants, wineries, and more...lots to look at, including tons of trails to walk, bike, ski, etc.

There were a few places to visit and you can tell by the construction that there is more to come. I had no idea this was even here. Loved every minute of the visit.

The complex set in the old state asylum is unique and interesting. When we first came across it a few years ago and the rennovations just starting, the setting bothered me a little. However, it really is a great new use of the lovely architecture, the setting unique for the shops make an visit & shopping: Left Foot Charley winery, Black Star winery tasting room, bakeries, boutiques and galleries. Lunch at Stella's Italian restaurant a real pleasure.

This former "insane asylum" was intriguing. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and a winery to wander through. Also a farmer's market going on on Friday afternoon which added to the ambiance.

Awesome history behind the asylum, very well renovated. Visiting black star winery a must with the mall if you like wine tasting. The server was very knowledgeable and provided more than what was paid for!
