We selected the B&B package and had a wonderful experience!
Staff - friendly,helpful
Crew - knowledgeable, attentive, fun
Ship - well maintained, beautiful
Sail - peaceful, scenic
Picnic dinner- tasty, filling
Cabins - very tight, clean
Breakfast - equal to any B&B on shore
Highly recommended. It was a trip to be remembered! Can't wait to sail with them again!

This was a great experience and I am glad we did it. The boat is wonderful! The price is very good too for dinner, overnight stay and breakfast in the morning. They serve wraps and have an excellent bar (Mawby and local beer) for dinner - and everyone fits in the galley for a good hearty breakast. It included the evening sailing tour which is sailing around the bay - and they give kids a chance to steer and others the chance to help bring up the sails! We arrived at 5:30pm, they settled us in - and the folks who signed up for the sail arrived 6:30 and we sailed until 8:30. We were there on 4th of July and it was an excellent place to watch the fireworks from. Sleeping situation - I am not a camper - but this to me was camping. Each couple had a room with 2 bunks. They had shower and bathrooms back at there office - a walk away on shore. The toilets on the ship - well they are complicated but usable. We shut the window and did not get the no seem bugs - a bit stuffy but choice between fresh air and bugs. ;) I would recommend this to others to experience!

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same I believe - they assign you them as you board the ship.

This was such a unique trip. My boyfriend and I stayed overnight and did the sunset cruise. You really have to do both. The staff was so nice and accommodating. They all have such great histories and are truly wonderful people. The beds are bunks below deck, but you do have your own area. They allow swimming off the boat once the sunset cruise only guests have gone. The food was spectacular; especially breakfast which was cooked on a wood burning stove by Lu Lu, the best cook ever. Definitely a must stay if you're going to be in the area.

Well we found it! Our very special day was enhanced with the Bed and Breakfast. The weather was beautiful and the experience left nothing more to be desired. The crew was a wonderful bunch of hard working young adults that treated everyone on board with the utmost respect and courtesy. The accommodations were better than expected for an 1800 replica Schooner, very comfortable and clean. I cannot say enough about the food on board. The breakfast was fabulous, with fresh picked fruit, homemade pastries with fresh blueberries, and a great cup of coffee. All in all we loved our time on board and want to return again for a longer sailing experience next time.
Thank you, your new friends.

We spent two nights on the boat. The rooms are simple and small. However, it was a lot of fun. The crew is wonderful. I really cannot say enough good things about them. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, kind and welcoming. Every member of the crew took the time to introduce themselves to us and make sure we were comfortable. We did an evening sail which was also very nice. The water is beautiful as are the views. Also, the food we had on the boat was excellent!! We are planning to go back with our kids!

I had been encouraged to take this cruise by friends who had taken the astronomy cruise a few years earlier. It was everything that I expected. Even though the accomodations were spartan (as advertised), the crew was very friendly and made me feel at home. They were all polished professionals when it came to handling the boat. The wine-tasting each night, led by Amanda Danielson, a local restauranteuse, was interesting and instructive. Who knew that intersting wines are produced in Michigan? The food, prepared by Lulu, was wonderful. Most impressive, however, was the sailing northwards in Traverse Bay and out into Lake Michigan to Manitou Island. We had good winds and made 11 kts on a run. Great sailing under a masterful skipper. A wonderful cruise, which I recommend.

We spent the night on the boat. The accomodations are spartan, just as described. We slept on deck and it was beautiful. Waking up before sunrise to see swans swimming by and then seeing a fishing boat go out just as the sun rose was a picture perfect experience. Some crew spent the night and more came onboard to prepare a delicious breakfast on a wood stove. Breakfast was served family style and it was great to talk to the crew. Would do it again.
