We stayed in room 212 for Easter, 2010. Weather was bloody cold and snowed early April. Accommodations were GREAT! Fantastic location and view to DIE for! Resort has an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and game room. Being elderly and the place full of kids during Easter Break, we did not partake in that but is a fine place for families and elderly couples such as us.

Location is on the main highway so street sound is loud!!!!!!! Winter weather, we had the windows shut but when the semi trucks drove by, literally shook the land. Unit was quiet as long as front street windows shut.

Lots to see via Leelenau Peninsula, Mission Point Peninsula and Traverse City itself. Accommodations were GREAT! Very CLEAN! The balconies on the water and front door are shared which was odd but never intrusive. Fantastic location.

Be SURE to eat at Red Messa Grill just up the road if you enjoy Mexican Food. Cheap and Fantastic!

We visit Pinestead at least twice a year, and TC itself more than any other vacation location. The upgrades in the bathrooms and the addition of the plasma tv's was a welcome surprise last year for our visit. Never had a bad experience at this resort. Next trip is only a few days away. Great location if your interested in anything from golf to casinos to wine tasting. Pinestead is a short drive to any type of experience you are looking for.

The Pinstead Resort definitely has a view of the bay which is a nice bonus. I would recommend trying to get a room on the bottom floor because you can walk right on the beach without having to go upstairs and you have a patio/yard you can sit and eat on. The second floor has a shared balcony/walking corridor that is not private and space is limited, although there are tables and chairs. The place is a timeshare. The kitchenette is nice. It's not elegant but it was pretty clean. The television was large and HD. The private beach is nice. There is a pool that is relatively small and a hot tub. There is a sauna and a small workout room with a fairly old elliptical (but Precor) and treadmill. This place is located in a long stretch of resorts in Traverse City. You do have to pay if you want to send a fax. This is fairly close to the Turtle Creek Casino.

This hotel has a fantastic view and lovely lakefront...the customer service is ok..the secretary at the front desk wasn't very pleasant...the rooms look like they are based on a theme from the 1980s...so they could use some work..

This hotel functions as a timeshare - but you can rent the suites by the night. All rooms have two sliding doors with lake views, one in the bedroom, one in the living room. The view is great - as are the common areas - the pool, patio, game room, lounge. The kitchen in the suite is large - full size fridge, microwave, and oven/range.
There was one main drawback. The suite is surrounded by walkways both front and back (instead of a private balcony facing the lake). So you have a choice of view or privacy (the curtains are solid, so when you close them, the rooms are completely dark).
