Reviewed July 12, 2013

The Chateau Chantal website only gives you a glimpse of your experience at this gem of a B&B. Make sure you also reserve the 7 course gourmet dinner/wine pairings. We had an amazing stay, with superb service and excellence in every detail. We are planning our next visit now!

Room Tip: Choose a corner suite (not next to the kitchen or overlooking the patio) for best views.

This was my second trip here and I just love everything about it! We stopped up specifically to see this winery, as we feel it is one of the best on the peninsula! The view is spectacular, with views of the lake on three sides. The tasting went awesome and the staff was very helpful! The only thing I could say negatively is that I wish there was more shade on the patio. But that is a very minor glitch. Otherwise, I recommend that if you only have time for one winery, make it this one! You will NOT be disappointed!

Tasting tokens = Chuckey Cheese

Not classy, at all.

Poor service poor attitude. No eye contact no experience. Only saving grace was the barrel tasting which was nice.

Hello,
Our sincere apologies for the poor level of service you received while visiting our tasting room. This is a tricky time of year for us as we transition from slow to high season. Regardless, that is not an excuse for your experience. We do strive to provide a quality product along with a quality experience. As a point of interest, the token system is an internal method we employ to keep track of tastes by customer.
Again, my apologies for your experience.
Thank you,
Marie-Chantal Dalese

This is another one of the vineyards one can stop at to sample wines during their trip up Old Mission Peninsula. There is a also a gift shop, large rooftop deck with great views and the option to purchase cheeses or do a wine dinner. We had a glass of the Malbec here and I wasn't a fan, but the views surely made up for this. You can keep the souvenir glass for just $1 more. Enjoy!

Looking for a place to stay on the way to another event. This was a great find. Really nice people, the room was fantastic, we were in the Van Gogh suite. The owners are getting older but make a fantastic breakfast and are tremendous hosts. Try to find some time to talk with them. Open tasting room after hours for free tasting for guests... pour your own, nice touch. Had a very excellent experience here.

We just went for an hour to do some wine tasting. The wine was ok, but the service was not that great. You get a couple of free wine tastes which is nice, but it didn't really matter because I was just ready to get out of there.

We went for a wine tour and not stay in the Inn.The place is set on an elevation/small hill so one can have a better view of the lake Michigan in the distance.
The staff were friendly and patient with the wine tasting. The place was crowded because it was raining outside and the Patio was also closed temporarily.
However the best part of this place is the scenery- vines, plants and distant waters..
