My husband and I went with 2 other couples on a Sunday evening in mid-October. Very nice atmosphere. Unique whiskey made on premises. The flight for $4 of tasting samples is a good place to start. Lots of fun drinks to choose. Something for everyone. I would have appreciated table service but they tell you in the menu that you have to go to the bar. Not sure what purpose that serves, except maybe having to hire less staff. I would have liked a few additional food items or snacks too. Overall, it was a fun place to check out if you're in the area but after that, not sure if I'd go back. One of those places that you like to show your friends and then move on. I wouldn't bring children of any age here. It's strictly an adult beverage place.

You definitely dont want to come and eat here if you are starving. The service is not great so fair warning. They have a very tiny selection of food and not very many options. We were told the owner never wanted to do food thats why they just have a few choices. Good if you are wanting some appitizers before going on a tour. Try the wasabi peas, they are wonderful.
The tour is was very informative. Got a first hand look at how they make all their whiskeys and spirits. Every thing is all organic certified if thats what you are into as well. Make reservations online for the tour, its a great way to do something different on the weekends. At the end you get to taste all that they make. And did I mention its free?
The building is just amazing. Its an old factory that used to make buggy whips and corsets. They say they are adding on so they can have banquets for weddings and what not.

This place is amazing. We had flights of whisky, craft cocktails, and appetizers, and everything was terrific. The atmosphere is super hip and comfortable, with concrete floors, a large, open bar, and plenty of seating. Our server was knowledgable and efficient. I highly recommend Journeyman's and can't wait to go back!

When you're traveling through the harbor and wine country of Southwestern Michigan, travel sideways to the town of Three Oaks for artisan spirits and hand-crafted cocktails at Journeyman's Distillery. Located in the historic 1883 Featherbone Factory, the tasting room and distillery, once steeped in history, is now a hip destination for sipping and sampling the complex yet comforting flavors of small batch distilled spirits. The architectural space of salvaged wood, steel, and concrete frames a glass wall that looks into the distillery and includes an open and welcoming area with tasting bars and tables that are a perfect place to discover the possibilities of "grain to glass” spirits that will soon make you a Journeyman enthusiast. There's an inspired light food menu of spreads, cheeses and charcuterie for a nibble and nip plus small sides like mac and cheese, a bison sloppy joe, deviled eggs and a skillet johnny cake. The bar cheese and toast made with a touch of their Ravenswood Rye Whiskey were perfect with the Cablecar, a tall cocktail deftly make with ginger beer and bourbon by their talented mixologists.

You can sign up online and take a tour of the distillery. We didn't know that when we walked in and the tour was full so we just sat at the bar and had a few drinks and food. The drinks and food were really good and the bartenders were really nice. The decor of the place was really nice and I would recommend everyone go there and try it.
