A quick break to Three Oaks to enjoy Michigan's Harbor Country. Three Oaks is an awesome small Midwestern town close to the lake - without the multitudes of tourists. Journeyman Distillery is located in the historic Featherbone Factory.

Pro: very cool bar, smiling and friendly staff, renovations to the old factory, and the distilled spirits

Con: would be an awesome place for a great dinner someday...

Inspired: our bartender and her special Manhattan

Very cool. Beautiful space. Friendly staff.

FREE tasting flight tours in you sign-up in advance online. We love the gin. Very tasty.

Lunch (barfood) is available. The bartender takes order but you go to a little serving window to pick it up. Hummus was good but beware it has unadvertised olives in it. Mac and cheese (gouda not cheddar) is decent. Charcuterie could have better meats (who does turkey on a charcuterie?) Pork sliders pretty sweet but good.

The drinks (about $8 each in general) are well-mixed and delightful. Perfect Storm was yummy. White Manhattan was excellent.

A lovely place indeed :) Drinks 5 stars; food 3 stars; decor 5 stars.

Wonderful little joint. The vodka was fine. The rum and gin were very nice but the rye stole the show. Two different flights for very reasonable prices. Also had an excellent place to view the process and all the equipment and such and such. Plenty of room to spread out and relax.
