First the Good points;
*The room had Direct Tv with 48" flat screen tv.
*There were no stained carpet or linens.
*The Refrigarator worked well and was clean.
*All the lights worked.
*The airconditioning kept the room cool.
*The breakfast buffet area was kept clean and well stocked. The gravy was average for any location north of the Ohio river.

Now the bad points;
*We found what looked like a bed bug.
*The Air conditioning unit needed to be cleaned, it had trash, hair, and food pcs laying inside unit or vent where you could see it.
*They had four square pillows per bed. (Kinda hard to keep them under your head at night.)
*The toilet was stained and flushed poorly.
*No microwave oven.
*The bathroom had a spot of mold on ceiling, there was no electric vent to turn on. That may have helped prevent mold to be able to exhaust the steam from taking a shower.
*At check in, the front desk said they had a courtesy shuttle from motel to Henry Ford museum, I thought that would be nice. The next morning we went down and ask front desk about shuttle, we were told we needed to hurry that they would have to call driver to come in and that they only made two trips, one at 9:30a.m. to drop off and the other at 5p.m. to pickup, if we thought we may need to leave earlier than 5pm we would need to just drive our own vehicle? So much for the courtesy...

We stayed at Comfort Inn several days ago and my fiance has been in pain ever since. The bed was not comfortable at all and the room was not cleaned. The toilet had urine and hair on it prior to our stay. There were also bugs in the room.

We found this hotel through The Henry Ford web site. The package is a great deal as we stayed two nights and received four vouchers good for two attractions each. This package is a great value when you compare ticket prices and staying at different hotels. However, the great deal ends there. The hotel's employees are in need of training and if the sign at the front desk says manager on duty, there should be one on duty. We stayed two nights and the first day toured The Henry Ford museum and Ford plant. We took the hotel shuttle which was very convenient. When we returned our room had not been made up as only the dirty towels had been taken from the room. I called the front desk to inquire why and was told it was marked as completed. I said that was not the case, the clerk then asked if we had left the do not disturb sign on the door and I said that no we left the room for breakfast and then took the shuttle and was gone for the day. She said she was not housekeeping and could not do anything about it except give new towels and they could be picked up at the desk. I asked to speak to a manager and she said one was not on site, but she would leave a message as I had asked what type of credit they could give. The next morning upon check out, we asked for a manager and was told there was not one on duty as we stood next to the sign that said manager on duty. The clerk said there was no note left regarding our room and once again we were accused of leaving the do not disturb sign or even we had left stuff in our room -- really?? we were staying two nights we're not to leave anything in the room? At that point she said she well you have the package deal - like with the package rate you can't expect your room to be made up? Finally she said she could give a $10 credit. We told her to keep the credit as the hotel must need it more than us returning to a Comfort Inn. We have stayed at many Choice Hotels and have never experienced such rude employees. The breakfast was great, however, it was very busy and had a small seating area. The lady who oversaw this had a very hard time keeping up and that definitely showed in her attitude and service. But of course the manager that was to be on duty wasn't there to even help her our during the busy two hours of the morning.

We stayed at this Comfort Inn because of their packages for Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum tickets. It made the price of the lodging very reasonable. If these museums are in your plans, do look at the package deal.

The hotel itself is okay but not as nice as other Comfort Inns where we have stayed. Our room was acceptable, though pillows were small, the in room safe had been drilled out (but they still charged us for it though when I said I wouldn't pay for the safe b/c it didn't work, they removed the charge), and there was a cigarette burn in the curtains. Staff were not particularly friendly except for the person who checked us out (she was friendly and helpful). Breakfast was pretty good - a lot of choices and decent quality, though the breakfast area only seats 20 so it's pretty tight. If back in the area again, I would probably still look for a package deal for Greenfield Village but would go to another hotel.

We stay here any time we are in the area. From booking to checkout, staff are friendly and helpful, and the hot breakfast (even bacon and eggs!!) is great!! I have stayed here a number of times over the last year and a half and can't imagine why some have posted such negative reviews, but they must have caught folks on a bad day. Our stays have always been great, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. If you are coming, do book the day before since others evidently feel the same way we do because there are not a lot of empty rooms, even on a Sunday.

We stayed overnight, but had a smoky room, but front desk said they were sorry, but no change in price. I was actually coughing due to the aroma from the smoke. Even outside the hotel there were people smoking ever time we went out. The room is large, with a huge TV, but the bathroom shower is a tub with a shower and from the 1970's. No remodel in bathroom, but sink and counter are huge. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING with a huge variety of hot and cold.

We have never had a bad experience at a Comfort Inn before this one. This one was horrible. Walked into the room and in the bathroom sink was "black stuff" all over it. My husband went to tell the front desk and one of the staff members was on him about only registering 2 children when we had 3 with us. Our kids are 9-5-2. I didnt know we needed to count the 2yr old into the registered guests as we never have at any other hotel. She had a really snotty attitude about it. Our room smelled like stale smoke and the hallways did as well. Anyway the room was just dirty. We found hair on our pillows and to top it all off my husband found some kind of broken glass "pipe" (pretty sure it was a crack pipe) beside one of the queen beds. He took it to the front desk where he waited for 10min and nobody showed up. Breakfast was gross and really didnt feel like eating anything from a place like this anyway. We will never stay here again and recommend you dont either!!
