The Blue Lotus Cafe & Deli is a hole in the wall sandwich shop in Suttons Bay, Michigan, that opened 2 months ago. The place is tiny and there really is no dining in, although there is a small bar with stools inside and a few tables outside. So, it's best for carry out. They sell a variety of sandwiches. I had "Bunch's Philly" and my wife had the "Cherry Chickie Wrap." Both were very good. Don't misunderstand me, no one is going to mistake this Philly cheese steak sandwich with what you can get in Philadelphia, but for Northern Michigan it's really pretty good. Of course every restaurant up here has a cherry chicken salad or sandwich and Blue Lotus is no exception. It comes folded in a spinach wrap and my wife tells me that it's one of the better ones she's had.
But the big deal is the price. At $6.50 a sandwich this is a great value. The sandwiches are not small, my wife couldn't finish hers.
So, if you are looking for a good sandwich, don't need to dine in and are ok with paying just a little for an awful lot, than this is the place for you!
