The vibe is fun, and the cider is a whole new twist on the winetasting route. Tasting room is tiny but cozy.

On this weekend visit to Northern Michigan we encountered a wedding at almost every winery we visited. The 'tasting' room was very crowded, but since there was a wedding just out the doors, all the 'tasting' patrons had to crowd inside. A brochure explained the different ciders and the service was prompt and friendly. We were not overwhelmed by the ciders but the experience was worthy of the stop.

What a great place, friendly, funny staff. A small selection of about 5 ciders. All very different, all taste great, none of the chemically crud you get in the UK. Free tasters but we stuck around for a pint or two and went back a couple of times as it seemed to be "on the way" to a few places.

The thing that really makes this place is the company, we arrived between 5 and 6pm each time and there was a small group of friendly gregarious regulars to chat with.

Go and enjoy, we found it much a much better place for a drink than the many, often sterile, wineries in the area.

Their ciders are awesome! They have many varieties and they all taste so different. Our favorite is the Smackintosh cider. The staff is very friendly and will let you try most of their samples for free. They sell their ciders in either bottles or growlers. They also have some snacks available for purchase. A nice break from wine if you are doing the wine trail on the Leelanau peninsula.

Great place with a neat story of how they started! The diversity of the hard ciders (alcoholic) that we got to taste was just amazing! So glad we had time to kill before an event and found them. We will definitely seek them out next time we are in the area and plan to spend more time there! Super nice people serving that explained the different varieties really well. We tasted all of the draft cider (free tasting) then split samples of many of the bottle tastes ($1) plus the Pomona ($3) which was a fun barrel aged fortified item! The tasting bar area is pretty small, but there is a nice big picnic area outside to relax with a pint once you've tasted. We were wishing for a cooler and less distance to get home so we could have bought some of the draft in a growler to go. We did however buy a few bottles as souvenirs since they could travel without refrigeration. (Some product is only available fresh from tap, while other items are in 750ml bottles.)
