Was wondering what was with all the apple trees on the Leelanau Peninsula, when we decided to head to Tandem Cidery's tasting room. Very pleasant and casual with two very knowledgeable women behind the counter serving an amazing array of different ciders, from sweet and semi-sweet to very hard and bone dry, some with high alcohol content - be careful! Four of the samples are free, a few more cost a dollar each. Very interesting tasting, and learned a lot about the different apples and ways of combining them. Bought a couple of bottles. The location is pleasant and rustic, nice change from over-fancy wine tasting rooms. Near Sutton Bay on a side road.
