If having breakfast out were just about the food, Martha's would be just another very good place for breakfast on the Leelanau Peninsula. But it's not and Martha is a wonderful, quaint restaurant staffed by friendly, knowledgeable people. We didn't get to meet Martha, but the much appreciated Samantha (see earlier reviews of Martha's) was helpful and fun. Our breakfasts, Eggs St. Tropez and Huevos Rancheros were good, but a little bland - almost as if the cook was afraid to commit to a bold, distinctive flavor. In contrast, the side orders of bacon pigtails, seasoned with brown sugar and chili, was an absolute delight and maybe the best strips of bacon we've ever had. So breakfast wasn't perfect, but it was close enough that we hope to be back many times.
