We were staying the area over night and decided to try this place. We were pleasantly surprised -- the menu is huge. Most of the dinners and sandwich platters come with soup -- not a tiny cup of soup either -- a decent-sized bowl full. I tried the chicken dumpling soup -- it was excellent. The half-pound hamburger I had was great -- the chopped steak dinner my wife tried was wonderful too.

The prices were reasonable for this type of restaurant -- no complaint there.

Our waitress, knowing we were going to split some dishes between out three young children and without asking, split up some of the side dishes eliminating possible "fights" at our table. She charmed my three daughters with her friendly chit-chat.

Had breakfast here on the way to Chicago. Just 3 miles north of I-80. Very good ham, eggs, hash browns with large servings. Great place for a basic meal while traveling.

Really good value with very good food. Clean, friendly, extensive menu, good daily specials, great desserts. One unusual plus is with almost every meal and sandwich you get an included bowl (not tiny cup) of really good soup and a small loaf of crusty homemade bread! The creamy potato soup is amazing. Plus with most you get a small dessert; ice cream, pudding, etc or for $1.29 more a big piece of great pie (this is after all on the edge of Amish country). They even have a special senior menu where everything is $6.25 and includes your choice of several entrees, salads, sandwiches and includes a full bowl of soup with bread, potato, milk, and fruit. Try the Reuben, its wonderful with chunks of homemade corned beef rather than slices. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days. The location is in front of a center that includes the towns super wally world.
