Our first clue to get our money back and leave should have been the door to the room that wouldn't open without a hefty shove with your sholder to the door. Our room was muggy and musty. The A/C had not been turned on prior to us arriving and things felt damp. The A/C was slow in cooling the room and was constantly shuting on and off. The mini fridge was not plugged in so we could not put our pop or water in there to keep it cool. The cloth covered chair had worn spots to the point you could see the stuffing. It should have been put in the dumpster a couple of years ago. The TV remote would only turn the TV on and off...no volume control or changing the channel. There were no extra pillows or blanets in the room. Seriously? And the bed was too hard, the pillows oversized and too stiff. Rough on the neck. In the middle of the night we were awakened by the barking of a very large dog staying in the next room. My 9am wake up call never came .... good thing I wasn't there for business and missed an important meeting or a flight out of town. The ice machine on the 2nd floor was flooding water all around the floor next to the machine and was not in good working condition. The Continental Breakfast was only from 6:00am to 9:00am... that might work M-F when it may be business people staying in the hotel but on weekends it mostly vacationers and people want to sleep in!!!. Who wants to get out of bed that early when your on vacation??? At least run the breakfast until 10. I would like to end with two positive notes: they had great water pressure in the shower and the people behind the counter were very friendly and personable. I wish I could say that made up for the short coming of the BayMount ... but it doesn't come close.

If you're on a strict budget, this place would be ok for one night. Any more than that, don't ruin your trip. Stay at a nice place like the Comfort Suites next door. We had a reservation at the Comfort Suites for $130, but canceled it to save $50 and stay here. We saw a room and it looked ok, but after checking in, realized this is NOT a non-smoking hotel, and the hallway and our room had a smoke odor. The A/C smelled musty as well. If you have any breathing problems, you can not stay here. Overall the hotel wasn't very clean, and the beds were uncomfortable.

Breakfast (6:00-9:00) was very disappointing. When I went down at 8:15, nothing was out and things weren't being stocked, no eggs, sausage, or waffle batter, and nearly empty cereal bins. So since we didn't want just toast and juice, we walked over to Cracker Barrel for breakfast ($30).

So trying to save $50 was definitely NOT worth it. It would be better to budget other parts of the trip to save money, like bringing our own food to the beach, and make sure your hotel is nice and you can sleep well.

I'm not a morning person, but even woke up early just to get out of this place.

Stayed for one night--wouldn't recommend staying any longer than that. Air conditioner seemed musty and dusty. People were very friendly though. Breakfas decent.

We stayed at this hotel on a recomendation of a friend and I am so glad that we did. When we arrived the check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given a room on the top floor at the end of the hall. The room had a mini fridge and microwave, a coffee maker, hair dryer, iron & ironing board. It was very clean and quiet. Even though we were right next to the highway we never heard any noise.

The breakfast was a little bit more than your standard continental breakfast. There were waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, muffins, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, donuts, bagels, bananas, apples, juice & coffee. The front desk staff stocks the breakfast area and we did have to ask them to come restock a couple of times during our 4 day stay. But they were always very helpful and got whatever we needed immediately.

The laundry facilities are a bit lacking. The washer got our clothes clean but the dryer did not dry them in one cycle.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the highway. There are several restaurants right next to the hotel. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We were shocked to see the lobby with wallpaper held up by thumb tacks. The place was rundown and shabby. The room had old and sad furniture and it was a depressing place and definitely not worth the money. There are alot more places to stay and spend the same amount of money that are alot nicer. Also the entrance door on the side was not locked and that felt a little creepy to me.

Front desk staff was very helpful, providing maps and directions, changed my room when I didn't like the first one. The room was spacious with comfortable king bed, fridge, very clean. Continental breakfast was very nice and the room was set up so it was cozy with tv on and everything I needed. The location was just off the highway but quiet and a short drive away was some awesome scenery and downtown St. Joseph's.
If I were passing this way again I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.
