Wow was I impressed with this place! New Seoul Garden used to be our first choice for Korean food...not any more. Chung Ki Wa takes the title!

First good sign: The place was crowded with Korean people and their friends and families. They were chowing on all kinds of delicious looking foods. Noodles were being slurped everywhere and the sizzle and smell of Korean BBQ was everywhere.

Second good sign: The food was excellent. Best hot bibenbop in Michigan, the quality of the beef was superior to other Korean restaurants in town. The pot sticker dumplings had a unique and delicious filling of meat and vegetables. The Korean pancake was good, it could of used more seafood assortment and less scallions. The assortments of kimchee were of unique variety and complemented the whole meal. Great pre-meal earthy soups.

Third good sign: reasonable prices. Much less than other Korean places in town. Service was kinda spastic but overall good.

We'll definately be going back . There are many other selections that I want to try, like the BBQ, the noodle dishes and sushi. Highly recommended.

We have been to most of the Korean restaurants in the area, and this one tops them all. We went here two nights in a row because weloved it so much and wanted to try more on the menu. We had the Korean Steak TarTar and it was phenomenal. We also had the Sushi was very fresh and tasty. The korean side dishes are very good and unique. This salad we had with sashimi and seaweed is what I would recommend to everyone. It's called " Hwe dub bab". We also had this soup with chestnuts and dates with short ribs that fell off the bone, called "Kalbi Jim" that was so delicious! The service was great and friendly owners. Can't wait to get back there again to try more new things.

I've been here for lunch & dinner. Lunch is a great price & plenty of food! Dinner cost quite a bit more but the food was wonderful! I hadn't had Korean Bulgogi in far too long & I'm very happy I found this place!

Good Korean food and sides, which is hard to find around here. As a bonus, the interior is clean and pleasant. Most food is reasonably priced. The barbecue is a little expensive, but sushi is cheap. My Korean wife said that the bi-bim-bap was better than most restaurants in Seoul. Don't hesitate to go.

I tried this place when i first moved to the Detroit area and was definitely not impressed. After hearing it was under new management, i decided to give it another shot. It was so yum, i can't wait to stop in again. The kalbi tang was super tender, and full of flavor. the sushi was also very fresh. the korean condiments or little dishes that come before your meal filled our entire table, so they definitely do not skimp on the little things!! the new decor is also very classy and simple. i also appreciate how CLEAN everything was! this is sometimes rare when it comes to asian restaurants.
