The service was good and the meal was delicious. We went there after a concert at 10:45 and had our meal within 30 minutes. We enjoyed our time there. It was a nice capstone to the night.

Arrived about 4pm, place was empty. A few employees around but still had to wait to be seated. Maybe they just opened, don’t know. When seated in bar area waited again, then just as I thought we could order drinks bar tender walks by and said she would be right back. More wait. Unacceptable to ignore customers when it was so empty. (and ever when busy) Draft beer was not cold enough. No more happy hour menu. Sushi was second rate. Other apps where good. I go to the one downtown, they should change the name of this one if they cannot do better, less the drag down their reputation. Might give them one more shot, just in case it was a bad day.

it is a now a low traffic restaurant on a high traffic street. the food has always been better than average, and the variety is really good too, but for some strange reason people stopped coming. maybe it was the increase in prices, or something i do not quite understand, but people do not talk about it as much as they did 10 years ago, so of course it looks dead most of the time.

I took my husband and a friend of mine from the Battle creek, Mi area to dine scrumptuously at the Fishbone Rhythm Cafe' in Southfield, MI. They loved it! The catfish, salads and the SEAFOOD GUMBO was on point!!! My guest had NEVER tasted the rich flavor of Cajun Alligator and she was pleasantly surprised at the taste. It is like tasting freshly herb-crusted cajun-seasoned chicken and ready to pop in your mouth! The salads are huge and have everything you want in it and on it. so much, you have to take some home. The wait-stff were lovely and even the manager. Go, you will enjoy the large area of seating, the sushi bar, the music and decor.

I used to go to the Fishbone's in Detroit many years ago and always enjoyed it. Expected the same for the Southfield location, but alas it was not meant to be. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either like I expected. Good location, although they can work on their signage from the street to help people locate it - lots of room inside, but the food was just ok. We had the jambalaya, the fried crawfish, the etoufee, and the alligator in my party, but nothing really stood out.
