This little Italian restruant is a hidden treasure. My husband and I had a nice romantic lunch here and the food was amazing! The service was very prompt, the dinning room was very quaint and comfortable. We now call this "our" special palce

The food was excellent. When we walked in, there was one group ahead of us waiting for a table. We were told, 20 to 30 minute wait. (there were 4 of us). We waited an hour. As tables emptied they seated people according to how big the group was. They determined we would be seated at a certain table when the party occupying the table left. That party was visiting after their meal. The hostess apologized and blamed the problem on the other customers. We were only seated when a member of our group approached the hostess and requested to be seated at a different table. There were at least 6 groups seated ahead of us, some groups with 2 or 3 people, some groups with 5. The wait was 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. Since we had waited so long we asked to order our food then as well. We were told we could order it but it woundn't be put in until another table's order (who came in 30 minutes after us) was placed because she "couldn't place two orders at once". We then waited for another 20 minutes for our food. So, on a non-busy night, 1 1/2 hour wait for food. Food was excellent but not at all worth the terrible service. We will never chose to dine there again.

Ok, you kind of know when you go into an Italian place and the staff does not know what al dente means that you may be in trouble. But they are so welcoming, so accomodating, so eager to please, so maybe the food will be OK? Well, there will surely be huge portions of pasta. Huge. So try and forgo the appetizers, like the flat bread, which turns out to be quite a good pizza, better than the main courses.
How do you kill good mussels...salt. Lots of salt. Garlic and salt. Grouper and pasta? Pasta yes, Grouper- no. Covered in butter, doused in butter, just taste the butter. Oh, and the breadstick with the pasta? Why a breadstick? Need more carbs on carbs?
Wonderful people, low prices, ok atmosphere, but the kitchen is surely nothing special at all.
This is a place to go to when you do not have high expectations and just want some down home simple food, hit or miss preparation.

We dined at this intimate little place at about 4 PM on a Monday afternoon, and we were the only couple in the restaurant for most of our meal. However, this place hops on the weekends, and as we had driven by over the weekend, and the lines were very long, we decided to wait until Monday. Keep that in mind. Parking is in front, on the street, or a private lot next door. Parking can be very tight in SH in the summer...

Service was very good, everything done in a timely matter. Food was very good, too. I had the 3 cheese tortellini and the DH had the meat ravioli. He liked my 3 cheese tortellini much more than his own meal! I would rate his a 4 and mine a 5. The pasta was very flavorful and the sauce excellent, very creamy. Bread was good, not outstanding. Salads-blah..why they continue to use so much iceberg lettuce in places like this is beyond me. Drinks were very good, too.

Bathrooms clean, prices good..decor is OK, nothing to rave about there. Look forward to going back one day.

This restaurant is a gem, the food is excellent and we couldn't have ask for better service. We ordered the Brushetta for an appetizer and it was delicious, my husband had spaghetti and I had baked grouper, the portions are huge and the dinners come with bread and salad. We finished off the meal with cannoli's which were awesome. The restaurant is small but as the saying goes good things come in small packages.
