“Good pizza but......”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

This restaurant needs to decide if it's going to be fancy or super casual. The pizza was great but the salad was soooo small it was laughable. Our drinks were served in tiny plastic cups and getting a refill was difficult, but I think that was just our server.

“Wood-fired pizza is very good”
Reviewed August 15, 2014

Some positives, some negatives, some neutrals on this restaurant. Great wood-fired pizzas (called flatbreads on their limited menu). Brix offers a gluten-free pizza/flatbread crust also. Tasty salmon if you want a bigger dose of protein than you’d get in a pizza. Pretty good salad sides. Super-friendly, accommodating staff. So those are the positives.

Negatives for me were how vinegar-y salad dressings were and how browned the apples were in the green-apple slaw. (My husband liked his salad dressing though.) Also, grease stains on the cardboard caddy on our table.

Neutral aspects of Brix, just FYI, it’s VERY casual: A cardboard “six-pack” caddy on each table delivers plastic forks, paper napkins, and salt, and water comes in disposable plastic cups. The music when we ate there happened to be hard rock to heavy metal (music styles we liked 40 years ago), thankfully not annoyingly loud. Décor is apparently inspired by pea soup and rust. So Brix gets mediocre marks for ambiance, in our opinions anyway, but high marks for the distinctive wood-fired flavors of the flatbread pizzas and friendly service. We hate to admit we just felt old at Brix; it definitely has a more youthful vibe.

“Great Patio and tasty pizza”
Reviewed August 15, 2014

My wife and I had a great meal at Brix during the Blueberry Festival. They were serving blueberry beer (just OK) and a very dry blueberry hard cider that was excellent. The flat bread pizza was excellent - it had fresh goat cheese and a wonderful arugula side salad. We also enjoyed the bacon wrapped jalapeno bites. The patio was a great place to enjoy a cold beer on a warm summer day and the service was very attentive.

“Yummy pizza”
Reviewed August 11, 2014

We visited after wine tasting in a shop nearby. We ordered a Margharita pizza to split that came with a small arugula salad. It was yummy and we will definitely be back later in the week!

“Everything was Great! Minus the slow service”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

everything about this place is tremendous.

Highlights:
- Outdoor seating, lots of shade (indoor is very limited if that's what you're looking for)
- Right downtown, next to other shops / bars / restaurants.
- Easy walk to the pier! Perfect for a dinner before the sunset.
- GREAT PIZZA. between $10-$20.

Again, the service was slow & we had to ask multiple times for refills. Our dinners came out all at different times, and they'd messed up an order. But, they were kind and quick to fix any issues.
